Sladeâs eyes narrowed slightly as his hand was batted away. Â That was an unusual reaction to have when somebody tried to help you up. Â Watching the male carefully, Slade stepped back as the other climbed to his feet. Â âIâm sure they werenât trying to knock everything out of your hands, things like this happen from time to time.â Â There was a look of pure confusion on Sladeâs face at the manâs reaction. Â He knew that CARMA had a not so sterling reputation with some people, but for the most part people gave them the same kind of distance they gave police. Â âGenerally people try the word please when they are asking for someoneâs help,â Â Slade remarked with a slightly exasperated tone, as he started to bend down to help the kid. Â That was until he tried to shove his way past Slade. Â Twisting slightly, Slade made the subtle motion to shoulder check the boyâs hip as he rose back to his feet. Â âIs there some reason I am unaware of that is causing your attitude toward me? Â Iâve never met you before so Iâm certain Iâve never done anything to you.â
âOh? So youâre being a mind reader, too now? You just know it was an accident, and not meant to happen on purpose?â Hans harked in agitation, stumbling slightly as he his hip was knocked into; then sending a glare towards the man. âAnd? Does that mean that Iâll, saying it? No. Iâm not asking anyway, Iâm demanding that youâre helping me picking up all of these. A useful CARMA agent would be very nice, for once.â Ha-neul jabbed bitingly, then answered the question. âDonât feel flattered, youâre not the only one I treat like this. I treat everyone with the same attitude, you giant baboon. I donât need to have meeting you before, to act like this. Just you people in general, annoy me.â The boy bit out icily, nodding towards the CARMA attire the man was wearing.Â
