Jak’d Canada Inc. creates a softball experience partnering with the NSA Summer Sizzler Series.
Calgary, AB (May 17, 2013) – Playing slo-pitch is more than a game. It is an experience. The players on the diamond are more than just teammates and competitors. They are family. Slo-pitch has emerged as the summer game for everyone with every skill level. The game provides families and friends time to socialize and hardcore athletes the opportunity to compete.
The attraction to the game of slo-pitch between players is the way they feel playing the game. Slo-pitch builds confidence and camaraderie. It represents teamwork and unity. Jak’d Canada Inc. has partnered with the NSA Summer Sizzler Series to promote the game players love to play.
The NSA Summer Sizzler Series created a unique tournament format that enables slo-pitch teams to enter in any or all of three qualifying tournaments of their choice. Their ultimate goal is to compete for the series championship. Each team is ranked and seeded for the final tournament.
“We wanted to create an environment that gives the players more than just a place to play the game they love” said Mike Forgette, NSA Director. “We want to create a tradition that players and their families look forward to.”

Why She Loves Her Game
I love playing slo-pitch because I grew up on the ball field watching my dad and family. I have played ball since I can remember, and I met my husband on the ball field. We even had a ball themed wedding, and now our children grow up on the ball field and also play. I love the knowledge me and my husband now pass onto our children.
It's great to see parents passing down their love of softball, Chantel's kids look like they already play like pro's...

His Game:
To me, it doesn't matter who I play with or against, it's all about having fun. I love playing slo-pitch, and when the snow melts I'm out there swinging a bat. Or if it's just me, I like hitting bombs off a t-plate just to hear the crack of the bat. I can't wait for the 2013 slo-pitch season.
Why He Loves It:
I love playing the sport because it's a family thing, and we've been doing it for many years. It's not only slo-pitch that interests me, I play a lot of orthodox mid-pitch too, and am very competitive in both divisions. I find that the best bat to use is one that you can hit a home run or a solid line drive with. The Claymore and Nemesys can do that if you are very consistent with your swing. I have a 6-year-old daughter who will be in her fourth year of ball, and will be playing in an all girl league, so it will carry on in our family.

First BP cuts with my Claymore bat from jak'd. 27oz's. was about 11 degrees with a 25kmh wind blowing in. Its my first time trying to make a video, so yall let me know what you think.

As you know, we have talked a lot about our new softball bat the Claymore being USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) approved.
The USSSA regulates and controls the type of equipment that can be used by Softball players. If a bat hits too hard or fast, it can be dangerous for both the player and the fans watching the game.
USSSA (or U-Trip), makes it so that any risks are eliminated. Here at jak’d, we have created a bat that not only has the strongest pop in the game and a generous sweet spot, but is now a fully sanctioned bat. Pretty cool, hey? Check it out, and let us know what you think!
