The wilds I hail from is home to me, ventured out from time to time, I happened upon a noble woman once, adorned in sparkling garments, I was dazzled. This, to me, seemed what true beauty and wealth must be. I snuck up behind her and stole a mirror. Twas encrusted in gold and crystalline gemstones and I hugged it to my chest with delight as I sped back to the wilds. My mother was furious with me, that I had risked discovery for the sake of a pretty BAUBLE. To teach me a lesson, she took the mirror and smashed it to the ground. I was heartbroken. Yet, she was right. —– That was then, now what I truly want is to see the mountains. I wish to witness the ocean and step into its waters. I want to experience a city rather than see it in my mind. 🐾

she couldn’t help but SCOFF at his apparent lack of finesse , and of course , at the IMPLICATION that he had to look somewhere else to find something to APPRECIATE . apparently , she wasn’t PRETTY ENOUGH to warrant his perverted gaze , and pansy ? well , she had NO NEED for it in the first place . it was NOT the kind of attention she DESIRED .

❛ if by PRETTIER you mean SLUTTIER , then i guess i’d have to AGREE . ❜ it was not that she was a prude , or could not appreciate a show of skin , it was only that most of these people don’t even bother to be SUBTLE about their intentions , and seeing as she wasn’t about to JOIN them , she might as well be BITTER about it .

her own dress was a DARK GREEN number , showing just the right amount of cleavage and with a thigh slit to show off her short but otherwise shapely legs . pansy DOUBTED that it was the type to inspire anyone’s filthy imagination , as it sure was doing nothing for marcus , but she does feel PRETTY in it , or at least she did when the evening began . fuming ever so slightly at the tiny avalanche of self-doubt his words had triggered, she took a champagne flute from a passing waiter and downed the thing in ONE GO . ❛ god , ❜ came her DARKLY MUTTERED reply , ❛ i’m going to NEED something stronger than this stuff if i’m to get through this night . ❜

It’s not that her dress is doing nothing for him. Certainly could be cut a little lower, if you’d ask him, but he’s mainly staring at the girl to upset Pansy and it seems to be working. He himself is clad in a black suit, broad shoulders stretching the fabric in just the right way, he thinks, his dark green shirt not completely buttoned up and revealing just the slightest bit of chest. The dressing up is second in line of things he actually does enjoy about these events, beaten only by the alcohol.

He takes a sip from his champagne flute and tilts his head demonstratively to the side while watching the girl stalk off in her heels that look like they’re about to punch a hole in the ground. Then he turns, finally, to grin at Pansy.

‘ Wanna get hammered? ’ Comes his plain question, brows raised. ‘ I bet we can find something better than this crap. ’

If there’s one thing he hates more than Gryffindors, it’s stuttering Gryffindors in wheelchairs. As if projects weren’t bad enough already, of course he is the one who has to work with this stupid girl. An audible groan leaves his lips at her statement and he leans back in his chair, arms crossed in front of his chest. ‘ I really don’t want to. So how ‘bout you do all the work while I go and have supper? ’ The grin on his lips is a demeaning one.
