Somehow ended up rereading Fahrenheit 451.
I went to the bookstore to buy a gift wrapper, and for what seemed a valid reason before the purchase, I also bought this book. Now I can't explain how I ended up buying the book without sounding stupid, so I will not write about it.
The book is rather hard to get through. I could only finish it because I liked Dostoyevky's writing, and because this book in particular shed some light into his life. It was a good bedtime reading, because I would fall asleep after only a few pages. For someone who has difficulty sleeping, it is very useful.
Maybe I will tell this much: I wasn't in need of reading material, but for some reason I needed to pick a book quickly, one that I will read and won't regret buying.
In the rarest chance that the need to make that choice arise again, I think I could never go wrong with a Dostoevsky.

A Shameful Life, Dazai Osamu
I desperately needed a book to read on the train, and it would be days before I could go to the library. Without thinking I went to Kino after work and found a new translation of Ningen Shikkaku.
For reasons unbeknownst to me, I’d been avoiding Dazai’s work for a long time. But this was a desperate move, I was running out of time (they announced the bookshop was closing in 20 mins), and the book was small and thin, perfect to bring around for short commutes.
