TL;DR ⸻ this is the story of how a young boy has been trapped in his hometown by his weak-willed heart, who follows everyone else’s wishes of him despite longing to be discovering the world and viewing it with his own eyes instead of through photographs. he has accepted that fate current roots him to stardew valley, though he hopes one day he can develop the courage to stand up to his parents who’ve set his future in stone.

his family owns and operates sunshine animal hospital, and they help with aiding the locals’ pets and their farm animals ( if they have any ).
he’s always wanted to leave pelican town and travel the world… but his parents have set him up to eventually take over their family business with no room to debate. he’s currently trying to accept his fate but it’s so hard when he sees others coming & going all the time.
initially wanted to be a musician, but he’s lost hope for this dream and has turned it into more of a hobby. no longer sings, bc he’s not confident enough to try anymore, but he plays guitar for the lil animals he gets to care for ♡
he is an only child, which is the primary reason why his parents are so set on having him take over sunshine animal hospital when they retire. he was interested in the idea when he was a child — who can really blame him, working with cute animals for the rest of his life was a dream ! — but now that he’s older, the idea has lost a bit of its lustre.
studied & graduated from the university of stardew back in 2019, although he’s qualified as a veterinary technician, he is usually his father’s right-hand assistant as opposed to working on his own. when he’s out doing work with farm animals though he’s def by himself and able to show off his knowledge !
junhee really loves his work, so much to the point that he absolutely will not stop until someone is pushing him out of the doors. sometimes work genuinely doesn’t feel like actual work to him, but then there are other times when he wants to just get as much as he can done without any regard for time.
once he passes out he’s out for a good ten hours ! luckily for him, his parents aren’t the type to ignore his health — it’s purely self-sabotage. you’d think for someone who studied medicine he would be more careful, right?
when he isn’t working, he frequents local cafes, the beach, and the community center ! he’s always down for fun and good vibes, which what he considers the best reward after working super hard all week.
he likes meeting new people and hearing about their hometowns !! he may not be able to travel but he likes listening to all the stories anyone is willing to share ( a great listener btw, always super engaged ! ). he keeps a notebook of places he’d like to visit with little notes on what others have told him about these places so he doesn’t forget why he even wants to go there.
he has two adopted pets, a 3-year old orange tabby cat and a 2-year old black labrador retriever. he adopted both of them for his 24th birthday a year ago, and the three of them have been lowkey inseparable ever since? it’s not uncommon to see him with both of his pets just out and about ! doesn’t usually keep them on leashes ( especially since his cat sits on his shoulders ) mostly bc they’re obedient and friendly, but has them on him just in case someone asks him to.
he’s kind of a shy individual but warms up very quickly to people if the vibes are good. he’s an easy-going type of person who typically follows a crowd but unexpectedly has a fighting spirit if his friends need one ( yet does not fight for himself, a whole other conversation tho ). he’s very protective of those around him and very good at comforting people if anyone needs a shoulder to cry on (✿◠‿◠)
there’s probably more that i’m missing but he’s still kinda newish despite being a remix of all my recent Lost Boy-esque muses in one but i’ll figure it out along the way !!
☀️ SCUFFED PLOT IDEAS ⸻
the platonic soulmate, best friend, ride or die, whatever you wanna call it … basically his #1 and there’s no one he trusts more with his life but them !
i love just having more close friends, either friends separately or they’re considered a #certified_squad within pelican town ♡ kinda like ‘where there’s one, the others aren’t far behind’
i think an adventure buddy would be cute ??? he seems so stuck up since he’s a workaholic but he will always be down for walking around aimlessly with a friend ♡
a classic and typical exes plot … could’ve ended horribly for whatever reason or ended amicably !! he’s completely non-confrontational so ig the worse the situation the more he would avoid them like the plague … but imagine a situation where he can’t avoid them like while he’s working lmfao ( not limited to one muse btw i just didn’t know how to word it )
kinda separate from the exes plot but his first love / kiss / whatever ♡ could’ve been a love from his teen years when they were in high school ( puppy love UwU ) or a love from his early adult years where they’re both more mature ♡ he probably doesn’t have feelings anymore but the affection will always be present !!
speaking of uni, anyone who has attended the university of stardew between the years 2015-2019 could’ve met him there and formed some sort of relationship with him … but what that relationship is is completely up for plotting.
um hello roommate or roommates maybe ??? he moved out of his family home after graduating uni so they could’ve been roomies for a couple years already or they started living together recently ♡
fellow night owls / midnight gremlins … they always see each other late at night either bc their shifts end super late or they simply cannot rest at night. they’ve fallen into a routine where they’ll either go out for food together or stay in his apartment for the majority of the night and just chill~~
i can’t think of any more with details to add but other ideas include: cousins / grew-up-like-siblings friends, people who have pets / livestock who see him regularly/semi-regularly as he is a vet, fellow cat/dog owners who want their babies to have playdates ♡, work out buddy, someone he doesn’t get along w for whatever reason, past pen pal(s) who decided to visit pelican town … also vv down for brainstorming ♡
