Tagina at the Temporary Museum For New Design (Tortona Around Design) - Milano Design Week (8-13 April 2014)
The colour, the decors, the contrasts are three distinctive elements of the collection Deco d'Antan that, combined together, offer a big visual and compositional freedom. The geometrical patterns and engraved floral decors exalt the surfaces as to become true and real furnishing complements, soft to the touchy and precious to the sight thanks to the wise mix of the overlapping glazes.

“conic-vine” by Nendo for Alcantara at the Temporary Museum For New Design (Tortona Around Design) - Milano Design Week (8-13 April 2014)
Fine layers of Alcantara are bonded by an unusual thermocompressing process to create romantic shapes which are tied to each other lengthwise to form, in Nendo’s vision, rows of climbing plants that are easily linked together. They form a screen of soft Alcantara, in an original textural pattern in shades of dove-grey and pastel, which exploits specific properties of the material to capture and enchant the viewer.

#3, #4, #5 Pleyel / Peugeot Design Lab: Piano design by Cyrille Vayson de Pradenne Colors and trims by Sophie Gazeau The lowering of the mechanics allows the aligning of the pianos cover and keyboard. For the first time in the history of the piano, the audience can see the artist play from any viewing angle. This shows off the pianist’s hands and creates a higher level of interaction with the audience. Moreover, the pianist hears the sound of their instrument with a level of quality never previously attained. The lowered action no longer inhibits the sound projection, which consequently becomes immediate.
#6 Sculpted wood & 3D printing Seven sculptures, from 10 to 70 cm, accompany the ONYX sofa.
#7 Art Toys A total of 12 figurines have been designed, each one reflecting its artist’s particular skills. In the picture: Art Toy 002 by Claire Panel

Chi Wing Lo considers his sculptures and drawings the soul of inspiration for his architecture and design. They reveal his hope and dream, their potentials and impossibilities. Belonging perhaps simultaneously to the past, present and future, his imaginary objects are traces of evidences from a civilization he has conceived. From the journey in searching for his ideal culture, he also brings back the pleasure and the fulfillment derived from the work of our hand, the precision and the sensibility that give the life and autonomy to an object. This exhibition will present eleven of these imaginary objects made of wood and bronze.
