Again, Ashley chuckled at how the woman described and talked, considering that it was all in one breath, with no inflections and pauses. It was amazing. “Well, if I can help you, then okay.” she replied. “Although I’m sure I’ve nothing to be helped with. Unless you can help me with my film studies homework.”

“You and your mission. And don’t lie, Kendall. We both know you think things out from the gutter, you practically live there. You said it yourself. And you’re just saying that and pretending to be innocent and stuff when you’re not that innocent. Keep what in my pants?”

“Nah, thanks for the offer, but I’m good. I’m like a tall giraffe going to walk on a catwalk or something if I go for it. I’m more than happy to teach French though, that’s pretty easy to do. Well, the teaching part is difficult. But doable.”

“I mean yes, probably but also no? The I’m Canadian part is mostly so they don’t try to kill the American, and they are nicer when I say I’m from Canada, it’s a petty crime really, just a little white lie, no one gets hurt. Yes, I totally get that, but then I’m horrible at languages, I teach Yoga for the body, my tongue is hopeless – well no. My tongue isn’t hopeless just it wasn’t made for languages is what I’m getting at.” 

“You’re just skating that over. I think you should just learn French for the sake of you being in France. Telling them that you’re Canadian when you’re not even Canadian would only go so far. And stop, I don’t want to hear you talking about sex again just because your tongue is well suited for something other than languages.”

“I know this is my own fault but maybe I should make an effort to learn some things in French besides ‘I am not a prostitute’, ‘no I’m Canadian’ and ‘where is the toilet’. Well. And the odd sexy phrase thanks to Beyonce. If my attempts at conversation today are anything to go by, I’d probably offended less people…oops?” 

“You should. Since you’re in France, might as well learn the whole language to get yourself used to the whole history and culture and the beauty of it. That or you can speak to the other folks easier rather than to speak in English. The French usually won’t like it if you speak to them in English without you knowing a lick of French. And shouldn’t you know French, since you’re Canadian?”

Billie would walk inside the girls room and goes to sit down on her bed she smiles and looks at her. “Thank you for the invite nice room you have here i am Billie by the way and you are?”

The woman walked into the room and immediately went to sit down on the bed, looking up at Ashley and then introduced herself. She had to chuckle softly at the older looking woman as she had done that in one breath, speaking fluently in one go as she introduced herself, talked about how nice her room was and thanked for the invite – all in one breath and one go! “I’m sorry.” Ashley chuckled. “It’s a nice room for Paris and for Paris hotels. Although I heard that Italian hotels are much more nicer considering they could use Renaissance-era buildings for one.” She pointed out. “I’m Ashley. Hi, Billie.” She replied rather tentatively. “Can I help you, since you entered my room?”

Billie would look and smile at the brunette. “Hello can i come in or you just gonna leave me standing out here?”

“Hi…” Ashley replied tentatively. A woman with blonde hair stood in front of her as Ashley opened the door, as she smiled at her and greeted her, before asking whether she could come in, or whether she would be left standing there on the doorstep. “Um… I don’t see why I should leave you on my doorstep, so… Come on in?” She replied, stepping to one side to let the woman inside.
