announcement
hi everyone! I know I haven’t been posting for a long time, but here I am! Again. I think it’s about time I make an important announcement about this blog.
tl;dr: this blog is being put on permanent hiatus until further notice.
here’s why:
Reason 1: all of the other badly drawn blogs I know of are dead, or at least on hiatus.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but something I’ve realised over the past few months is that I haven’t heard of other badly drawn blogs for a long time. From this I can assume that they’ve all either fallen out of hetalia, or they’ve just given up on the blogs themselves. Either way, it’s pretty safe to say that the AU is dead.
Reason 2: APH Macau is not a popular character. This means that my content is not being noticed as much in the fandom.
This may sound a little selfish, but the whole point of making this blog was to give content to the fandom. This doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the attention I already get, but I feel like a lot of other content creators feel the same thing. Which moves on to my next point.
Reason 3: Content is not being circulated a lot.
I know a lot of other people have made plenty of good posts about this, but sometimes the like to reblog ration is just.. really bad? I know that people may not want to clog up other’s dashboards with posts, but only giving a like is just like saying “nice job, here’s a sticker”. It doesn’t do much, especially for a fandom like hetalia where there is pretty much only fan content to be seen. I know there will be people who will see this post and just like it. And that’s perfectly acceptable! Just please keep this in mind.
Reason 4: Lack of motivation.
I’m sorry to say this but another thing I’ve noticed with hetalia blogs, in particular askblogs, don’t get a lot of asks. I know that there are those wonderful people who do, but is it really that hard to go to the ask box and type out a question? Without asks, the blog can’t update, as is the case with mine and plenty of other blogs out there.
Reason 5: I’ve fallen out of hetalia.
This one is probably the most relevant reason. It wasn’t anything related to fandom drama or anything like that, I just found other things that made me feel happy. It’s okay to move on to new things.
To end things simply, I’m very happy to have made this blog.
It helped me as an artist, and it showed me how this site works. Hetalia is an amazing series, and I’m sure one day it will resurface, whether that be with fan content, or if Himaruya finally comes back with new chapters. Either way, thank you all, and I wish you good luck on the long road ahead! :)
