i was browsing uniqlo's tshirt collections and saw they have a gon-san tshirt as part of their upcoming shonen jump collection, along with other hxh tshirts. this isn't an ad, just thought you might like to know

some more ideas for the fairytale Gon-san story

after Gon was trapped, he would often meditate since there was little else he could do on the islands. 

He was never sure how much time passed when he did though, for the fields he often stayed in never changed, as if they too were in the same state as he was, forever frozen in time. He sometimes suspected days were passing instead of hours when he sat there, but time quickly lost meaning for Gon as he lived as the defender of the isles.

most of the clothes Gon gets are tributes from the local people. Gon often wished he could thank them personally, but interaction with them was forbidden so instead he would thank them with either fish he caught/fruit he found. (the people were usually just happy he protected them from outsiders though)

Though Gon missed everyone a lot, overall he was actually quite grateful for how easy his life was. He felt like he was redeeming himself by becoming an eternal protector for others to make up for his failure at saving Kite.
