The last months of the year are always the worst for the performer, unable to get any warmth on her own. Her vestments were thin, made out of cheap fabric, and the metallic limbs didn't make it any better, either, barely helping her to retain her body heat. The cloaked one knew so, too, as they kept trying to take her out at nights, hoping that she would freeze to death.
And they succeeded, in a way. As the poor woman hallucinated the applause of the public she always wished for, she never realized that she was wasting her last few breaths in a fantasy, the cold finally getting to her as she lost her consciousness. It was supposed to be a slow, yet effective murder...
That'd be, of course, if she hadn't opened her eyes.
How long was it? Days, weeks perhaps? Violetta couldn't remember but there she is, laying in a hospital bed, her prostheses nowhere to be found. In a twist of fate, one of the organizers retreived her body and reanimated her, being wrapped in multiple blankets due to hypothermia - as she learnt from Murro - like the toys she made. It was suffocating, to say the least.
Disoriented by her sudden awakening, she was unable to recognize the face of the one who brought her, writing down something on some sort of book or diary, she couldn't tell. It didn't seem to be as relevant as what the strange figure was saying, though, so the actress tried to piece their words together.
The mention of experiments and games got her lost, visibly confused as to what they were implying. From what she could make out, the play she was initially part of would be replaced for one that's bigger, available to everyone at the manor. As for her role... Well, rest assured, it'd be one that nobody will take their eyes off.
That's the charm of being a hunter, isn't it?
