Tanihara Shosuke: When the story’s been going for this long, I’m sure it’s hard to narrow it down, but which character is your favourite?

Araki Hirohiko: Favourite character?  Well, for me… I guess it’s Josuke.  Up until then, all the protagonists I’d created were more of the cool hero type, but Josuke was more like someone who’s your friend, which was really refreshing.
