I was trying to remember the name of the mad scientist who injects Aeryn with Pilot's DNA in the DNA mad scientist episode and upon remembering his name I also suddenly realised that the whole clue to the episode is in his name, NamTar, RatMan, and now I feel slightly silly that it took until my third watch through to realise this. Love the wordplay.

#the first appearance of John's iconic outfit!#Love how they kind of justify his wardrobe change with the throwaway line at the start that they were at a commerce planet #I think this is also the first ep in which he is wearing the gun as part of his outfit?#seeing the changes in Crichton after the aurora chair is fascinating and a bit heartbreaking #I am blown away again by how absorbing this series becomes after the first half of season 1 #and to be fair the series needs the relative innocence and positivity (at least in John's character) of the first half of season 1 #to ground everything that comes after and to provide the contrast that makes his journey so compelling and heartbreaking #farscape #john crichton #farscape 2x02 #vitas mortis
