Days in the Sun [DaiNa]
asy-daichi:
The ring that Hana gave back to him was outside with the judge he brought along with him, to be prepared in case she accepted it, and he wasn’t allowed to go inside with anything in his pockets, so the proposal was done just like this, with his words and all the love he had for her. He started to feel nervous when she wasn’t speaking, but soon the smile appeared, and he sighed in relief. He knew that smile.
Daichi worried a bit when she fell to her knees, but she seemed just so happy that he couldn’t resist, and even if the security didn’t like it, he closed the space between them and took her in his arms, hugging her tightly and nuzzling her hair, taking in her scent. “I love you so much.” He whispered to her, just a second before he was pulled back by the guy, who was glaring at him.
“Well, in a few minutes you will have to let me hold her, man, why so serious?” He asked at him, raising an eyebrow. “Can we let the judge in to get us marry, please? I have a day long date to take my wife on.” He asked, while Hana was helped on her feet by the nursesitter, since the security still had his hold on his arm and he couldn’t really move from where he was.
She didn’t him to let go but she knew the moment was fleeting. What were they rules they rammed into their heads during visitations?
No sudden movements. No prolonged physical contact. Please stay in your assigned places.
So, she wasn’t shocked when the comfort and warmth was pulled away from her. “D-don’t be so rough with him, please?” she managed to whisper out as she was helped to her feet, wiping at her eyes to stop any tears that tried to appear. And then Daichi’s words actually hit her. ‘Right here. Right now. Let the judge in.’
Hana quickly looked around, even though she couldn’t see out of the room they were in, looking for the judge. “I’m about to become your wife….. A day long date, too?” Her mind was processing everything all at once and for a moment she was on overload. Was she even allowed to be this happy?
It wasn’t the wedding day neither of them had in mind but with the way things were going for them, it was actually the perfect wedding for them.
Daichi smiled softly at how surprised Hana looked, because that’s what he wanted, to surprise her in a good way and make her smile and be happy. He was happy it worked and she accepted, since he also feared that it would be too much for her and she’d refuse, so he was happy it didn’t happen like that. “You’ll be my wife, and I’ll take you out on dates as much as I can.” He knew he had to respect a lot of rules, and that he had to sign a responsability term over her whenever they went out, and he’d go to jail if she did something that she should’t, but he trusted her, and he trusted himself to be able to keep the alters out of the way while they were out, and to have things in control in case something happened.
The judge soon was allowed inside, bringing the box with the rings, he kept the same ones he’d propose to her a long time ago. He wasn’t allowed to be too close to her in there, but he did hold his hand, while the judge was verified by the security to make sure that he had nothing dangerous with him, and he started the brief ceremony, by saying a few words. If it depended on him, he’d want a wedding outside, with Hana in a beautiful dress, but what really mattered was that they’d be together oficially from now on. The man asked if they wanted to say any vows during the ring exchange, and Daichi smiled and glanced at Hana, questioningly.
香港ありがとう。 素晴らしい夜を過ごせたよ。
You’re the pretty prince!
I just guessed. Guitar seems to fit you.
I wish you could see me playing one day! I’d play a special one for you!
I’d love to! I’m sure I could get a day out of this place to see you play. I haven’t made any noise in a long time, I’m on good behavior.
If they let you, I’d take care of you so it’d be alright! I hope they let you come!
Days in the Sun [DaiNa]
asy-daichi:
She looked pale and tired, and she was still the most beautiful woman in the world, in his opinion. Different from the girl he met on the day they dumped the party together, yes, but he knew she was still the same. If anything, the passion turned into a love so deep that time couldn’t erase. “I’m glad I still can make your days better.” Daichi replied, kissing the small hands he held between his. He had a mission on that day, though.
Still holding her hand, he got on one knee, right there, in front of her. He could sense how the nurses all tensed up and even the security there seemed to widen his eyes, but he kept the soft smile on his painted red lips. “Hana, I know this is sudden, but… I can’t stand all those stupid rules keeping us apart, because I’m not related to you. I’m being denied the pleasure of trying to make your life a little bit better because you’re not related to me by blood. And that’s something I can’t change. But I can marry you, and be your husband. That would make me the happiest man on Universe. Will you marry me? Right here, right now?”
There it was, the cheesy question. Even if he practiced for it, and it wasn’t a sudden decision, there was still that anxious feeling in him, he didn’t know what to expect. Maybe she wasn’t prepared, or didn’t want to marry him right away, not that he wouldn’t want to throw a party to celebrate, eventually, when Hana could come out, finally. They would have a wedding party. What was he thinking? That didn’t matter, all that mattered was the reply that Hana would give him.
Of all the things she could have expected to happen during their short visit, this was definitely not one of them. This was the reason she had given him the ring back; so he could one day have the moment that she had stolen from him, from them both. And here it was: Daichi on bended knee asking the question she never thought she would get the chance to hear. Something in the back of her mind always told her that he had never really forgiven her for that day, that everything that was happening between them during this second chance was just her imagination. And yet she couldn’t deny away what was right in front of her.
All the chaperones in the room instantly seemed to close in, worried about how Hana would react to this sudden action on her boyfriend’s part- all except for her nursesitter, who had tried her best to keep from squealing and managed to channel her excitement into a louder than normal gasp.
Hana felt her knees buckle out from underneath her and down she went to the floor, still holding tight onto Daichi’s hand. The security made a lurch to pull her away but stopped when Hana didn’t move from the position she had fallen into, legs beneath her, the skirt she had on bunched in crease of her knees. All she could do was nod her head. She didn’t trust anything that she could say. She didn’t want her worries and her fears to ruin this moment, prevent her from agreeing to be his wife. She wanted to marry him, she always did. She just kept nodding her head in a silent ‘yes’, a smile spread across her face.
The ring that Hana gave back to him was outside with the judge he brought along with him, to be prepared in case she accepted it, and he wasn’t allowed to go inside with anything in his pockets, so the proposal was done just like this, with his words and all the love he had for her. Days in the Sun [DaiNa]
asy-daichi:
Months of phone calls would never be enough. Only hearing, never seeing or touching, being able to hold her, breath into her neck and see her smile. That would drive any man crazy. But he vowed to be good, to be a better man for her, and be strong for both of them. And being strong meant he couldn’t freak out or get himself in trouble to go back to the asylum.
Daichi needed to see her. People there never let him get too close to her, because he wasn’t her relative. He couldn’t hold her because he was only her boyfriend. That wouldn’t be enough. So he did an extensive research about what could be done, legally, and the next time he went to the asylum, he wasn’t alone. Though when he asked to see Hana, he was by himself, waiting for her in that same room he already know all the details, from sitting there and waiting for his girlfriend to be brought.
Seeing her was always sad and exciting, at the same time. Sad, because he hated how she was still here. Exciting, because he missed her so much. His smile widened at the sight of her, and he stood up. “Hey, love of my life! How are you doing?” He asked, reaching to hold her hands - the most he could do then, with the eyes of everyone else in the room on him, ready to stop him if he did anything more.
@asyhana
Not being able to see Daichi was hard on Hana; she didn’t do well without him around now that he was back in her life. So when he had left Seoul Psychiatric, she threw a fit. And when she finally calmed down, she was told by her nurse-sitter it was a good thing. That she needed to figure out who she was without him. She agreed at the time but didn’t really think much of it. But Daichi always said he wanted to be a better man for her, one that she deserved and even though she felt that he was perfect the way he was, he was determined and focused and it made her smile to see him working toward something. And it made her thought that maybe she could work on being a better woman for him.
But, of course, it was tough. Every time she heard his voice on the phone, she would want him near. Every time he would try to visit and she wasn’t able to see him, she would feel guilty. It was hard to try and keep herself pushing forward when all she could see was darkness in front of her. But then there were days like today, when she was able to see him, and she was reminded that she was fighting for him, for her friends.
She had Dawei help her get ready, as it was a particularly bad day and though she was excited to see Daichi, she also wasn’t too motivated to leave her room. And then she stood in front of him, that lovely smile on his face, her struggles that day seemed silly. She held his hands tightly and simply sighed, “Bonjour, amour. I’m doing better seeing you here now.”
She looked pale and tired, and she was still the most beautiful woman in the world, in his opinion. Different from the girl he met on the day they dumped the party together, yes, but he knew she was still the same.
