Does anyone know what book this was?

I remember having a book as a kid. It was probably published in the 1990s or 2000s era. I vaguely remember it, but here are some details:

-It was a children's book. Maybe a book recommended for middle schoolers.

-The book was a chapter book that had some black and white illustrations. I don't think every page had one, though.

-I don't think it was the first book in the series. It seemed like a sequel.

-I think at the beginning, the narrator went to visit a friend's house and the friend was playing with his dog in the backyard. This probably didn't happen, though. I'm not sure if this scene actually occurred in the book.

-A group of these kids went into a huge world or cave system. I think they used a magical object in a backyard to get there. I don't know. I think the kids were looking for treasure.

-In one cave, there was this dragon-like creature drinking from a pond. I think it had spikes on its tail. There were stalactites in the cave(those pointy things that hang down in caves). I think the creature was the villain of the story, who could shapeshift. I think he was an evil wizard of something. I think this man ended up turning good during the book. I'm also not sure if the monster was actually one of the villain's forms, but I think it was. There's a chance it wasn't, though.

My memory of this book is extremely vague, but I definitely remember the monster in the cave bit. It's driving me crazy not being able to find this book again. Google has been no help, so I have to ask actual people if they know what the heck I'm talking about. Hopefully, someone does know.

I did some more searching, and someone in the comments section of a Reddit post mentioned The Secrets of Droon book series to someone who was looking for a similar series to what I remembered. So I went to Goodreads to check out The Secrets of Droon, and the book I was looking for is 100% Journey to the Volcano Palace. I looked at an illustration showing the villain guy I vaguely remembered, and I can tell it's him. This book is the second one in the series.

Can anyone please tell me the name of that one show I saw a YouTube short of? The episode was about a brother and his sisters(They were White kids and the brother and one sister was probably a teen) who got stranded in the city/town.

They couldn't contact their parents because they didn't have their phone numbers memorized and I assume the kids didn't have a phone with the parents' contact information. I think the oldest of the sisters had her phone destroyed or it ended up with a dead battery, making it impossible for the kids to get in touch with their parents.

And I think there was a moment where a woman was speaking Russian or something(I might be misremembering this, though. This part probably didn't even happen. IDK. Maybe something involving a foreign language happened in the clip.) This was a more modern show. It didn't have a laugh track either. Maybe made in one of the years 2015 through 2026. I saw the YouTube short either this year or last year.

I can't remember why they were stranded. They got stranded while the sun was still up, though. So in the morning or the afternoon. And the whole show wasn't about them being stranded. It was just that episode. I think there were two sisters. I guess the brother was 17. One sister was probably 15. The other sister was probably 10. I could be wrong about the ages, though. But that's my impression from what I vaguely remember. I want to say there was even a third sister, but I might be wrong about that. I definitely remember there being at least two sisters. The kids were all American. If not American, then Canadian. They definitely didn't sound like they were British or Australian.

I think the oldest of the sisters had brown hair, but I can't guarantee that she did.

I think the kids got picked up by someone eventually, but I can't remember who picked them up. Or maybe they managed to get back home on their own. I can't remember which. Also, it wasn't a supernatural show or anything. It seemed like one of those corny comedy shows about a family, with no laugh track.

I've been trying to find this show for days, but Google isn't helping and no one on TikTok knows what it is. I asked there too.

The show is not Shameless or Stuck in the Middle.

The YouTube short was possibly deleted. Or maybe I deleted it from my search history. I can't find it in any of my accounts' search histories.

WTF was this show? Someone please help me find it again.

There's this one long The Hunger Games fanfic I'm reading, and I make it a habit to read every comment on every chapter. I came here to whine because there's this one loyal commenter who posted a very long comment I'm currently reading. Yes, it's that long. I had to take a break from reading it.

This person added in a very unnecessary head canon in their comment, and it was about the family of one of the non-POV characters. None of those characters that commenter was making a head canon for even made an actual appearance in the fanfic so far and most likely never will. What the hell was the point of that?

I suspect it's the same commenter who made a short fanfic in the comments about one of the characters in this fanfic. Jesus Christ, I'm so irritated by this person. I know I'm whining and this person isn't hurting anyone, but I'm so annoyed right now.

I just copy and pasted the comment into a Google Doc file to see how long it is. It's 1,697 words long.

I found this comment on Reddit. They're talking about the Sunrise on the Reaping book.

I disagree with the "Sunrise on the Reaping feels like fanfiction" thing that some of the other The Hunger Games fans love to spout. And I disagree with what the person in the comment said.

Listen, I love that Suzanne Collins gave names to all 48 tributes in The 50th Games. "NOBODY" the commenter said. Well, I'm someone who is glad Suzanne named them all. It made the book feel more real to me, more fleshed out. I hated that every tribute wasn't named in the first book. I hated the first book in general, actually. SOTR succeeded where THG#1 failed.

Also, in this one story I'm writing, I gave names to all of the children in the two different societies that are in the story. There are over 70 of those children. I did that because SOTR inspired me to, and I'm glad I did that.

And I like that every tribute in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has a name too, for the same reason that I liked SOTR for doing it. Every tribute being named made the book feel more real and fleshed out.

I've been reading The First Quarter Quell fanfic by Littlefroid. I'm currently on chapter 12. It's a good story plot-wise, and it has interesting characters, but the grammar is bad, and I suspect English isn't the author's first language. Also, the author has this odd thing where they omit "I"s and pronouns a lot, including in the dialogue. Because of this, there are always a bunch of sentences that don't feel complete. It makes reading this fanfic confusing at times too. There's also some awkward sentences in this story. And sometimes the author randomly switches to present tense, when this is supposed to be a past tense story.

I like the story overall. I want to make that clear. The problem is that there are some problems with this story.

I'm regretting having cross-posted one of my stories to three different websites now. I had to make some changes, which meant I had to make the changes in the Google Docs files first, and then make the same changes to all three versions of the story to the three different story websites they're on. Doing this stressed me out so much. I can't state that enough. It genuinely made me decide to never cross-post my future stories. From now on, any of the stories I publish in the future will only be posted on website. Not more than one. Especially not three. Having more exposure for your story via cross-posting isn't worth the stress of having to make ___ times the amount of changes because you decided to publish the story on however many different sites. Seriously.

Can someone please help me find this manga series I used to have as a kid? I didn't have the entire thing. Just volume one and volume 2, which my mom ripped up.

Anyway, I might get some details wrong because this was a long time ago, but:

From what I remember, this evil wizard(?) was reincarnated into this sabertooth tiger-like animal cub(I think it was a cat-like creature with fangs. Hence I'm saying saber-tooth tiger. And its mother had been killed by knights or something. The princess ended up adopting the cub, which was actually the reincarnation of the evil wizard. I think she had a cute name for him. Something that ended with "zie" I think(Duzie?). I remember the princess insulted an old man in volume one and asking him if he was senile. Lol. And she had a bodyguard who I think was her love interest.

In volume 2, the bodyguard of the princess was trying to find her in a town or a city or something, and a nearby prostitute said something along the lines of "There's plenty of princesses up here." And there was this man who dressed up like a woman in this volume, and I think that's why my mom ripped up this volume.

I haven't thought about this manga series in years, but remembered it for some reason today. But I can't remember its name! And I tried my freaking hardest to google it, but that failed. And I don't have volume one anymore BTW.

If anyone can let me know WTF this manga series was, I'll be so grateful and so happy.
