the last two weeks Sancho and I went for a lot of walks to get to know the area around our stable which was pretty nice. On Wednesday we did our first little ride which was exciting but also really beautiful❤️ I can't even describe how proud I am of him and our trust in each other. I think all the new stuff will strengthen our relationship even more :)

n e w c h a p t e r

Guys, yesterday was the big day! I couldn't be there because I had school but came to the new stable in the evening. I have to say it's really beautiful there and I am excited to explore everything :) Today we go on a little walk to get to know the area around the stable. All 5 horses made it there safe and happy :)

Although I am a little sad we left because of my aunt and her horse, but I surely will visit them soon!

Big News!

Sancho is moving to another stable. Not wide away, it's actually the village next to the one where he lives right now. When everything goes as planned he will be moving on November 1st.

I will meet up with his owner in a few days and she will tell my all the details and I want to ask her if we can drive together to his new stable so I can see everything on my own and if I will come with them. At the moment I'm pretty excited and I think I'll go with my buddy but nothings 100% sure. But also I am a bit sad because my aunt and I did a lot together and this won't be possible in the future, maybe we can go for a hack together but since she doesn't has that much time I don't think that will really happen.

Besides that, Sancho isn't moving alone a friend will come with her three horses and another one with her horse. So he won't be alone and not everything will be new. I will do my best to keep this page up to date but I can't promise :)

We really enjoy our sunset walks in the evening at the moment. The Atmosphere is just breathtaking sometimes (pic before and after editing)

We walk a lot over the fields, climb some mountains and run together which is an incredible feeling of freedom because I can see how much he enjoys it too❤️

L a s t W e e k e n d

I went out with my aunt and we took pictures with the horses! These are my favourites from the this day, I love them! The Ponys were so lovely and didn't mind posing or waiting while we took photos from the other. It just shows me how much I can trust Sancho. Sanchos owner is away for holidays s in nce Sunday until the 6 September, which means I care for him the whole two weeks. It is different than just 3 days a week and more stress but also really nice. I get a feeling what's its like to have my own horse which is a pretty good experience so far! Yesterday we went for a big walk and saw some Donkeys, they were so cute. Today I will ride in the woods, hope Sancho is as excited as I am❤️

looks like we're finally back lol

So, I know I didn't post for a long time now. Has its reasons. Sancho is doing great at the moment and we can begin training again yay! In the past weeks since my last update he had some more vet appointments and it finally seems we found the issue and his leg is working again. Since 4 weeks or so we're doing some longing in fast and slow trot because even with meds his leg wasn't fully working because he was used to walk in this form since the problem lasted so long. And now he is getting back in shape and we started riding again a week ago. For now it's little hacks in walk, trot and gallopp so he doesn't have to ride Sharpe curves like in the arena. I went out with a friend last Friday and I was so happy to be back in the saddle and Sancho was too.

So for now it's 2 times riding, 2 times lunging and walks in a week. :)

I have to say it wasn't that bad to not ride. Don't get me wrong I missed our adventures in the woods and fields very much. But in the past months we really got much closer and it was great for our relationship to work on the ground together. My aunt taught me some parelli skills which Sancho learned perfectly and we did a little trail and stretch training like you can see in the picture above. And our beautiful long walks were really great too. I think we learned to work better to together and to communicate on another level😍

I am so happy that I have the chance to care for him, he is definitely one of my best friends and I would be happy if I get a horse like him when I am going to have my own in the distant future. For now I enjoy every moment with him❤️

Sancho had a vet appointment now, finally. They were checking his leg for 3 hours on Friday but they still don't know why he isn't walking right which is pretty frustrating. But no matter what we did a little ride in woods yesterday and it was so beautiful. Everything is green now and it's getting warmer in Germany, yesterday was pretty hot for May. I just love these times when I'm ot with him, it's like the rest rest of the world stops and it's just him and me in that moment. These moments are so pure and beautiful it's impossible to describe it the right way. Our bond is growing stronger every moment and I love him more than it's good maybe. He is not my own, I know his owner loves me and how we word together but I also know that this moment comes when Sancho and her leave me or I have to leave them. And that's why I am so afraid to let a horse which is not my own so close to me. But Sancho breaks these walls every time we are together a bit more and I love it. When I am older a horse with his character and heart would be my Drem to buy❤️ But for now I will enjoy every moment with him💕

Yes we are able to do little rides now and then and he is really enjoying it. Yesterday we did a little ride in the woods and I was really proud because he stayed so calm even at his favourite hill for a fast gallop :)

But I felt bad for him because he can't do his favourite thing outside - a short but good run with bucking of joy in the beginning. I hope we can do this again as soon as possible, I miss it so much.

He is the thing which I enjoy the most in these shitty times ugh. I want my everyday life back even the usual stress that I hate so much. And I want my friends back. But most importantly I want my girlfriend back... I miss her so much it hurts but I feel like she disappears everyday a little more, in these five weeks now I only saw her one time, we skyped only one time and I am happy when we text once a day... In the last 3 days it really feels horrible I just want to cry sometimes but I don't know what to do which makes it even worse...

So please, please come back normal life...

Well yeah, we had to👀😂

Look how calm he is, I am so proud. I know he still is not trotting the best because of his left leg in the back, we are still working and improving. As I told you already, we still don't know exactly what he has but he is obviously not in pain and that's good. Next thing will be an x-ray to have hopefully a final diagnosis. Besides that he is so motivated with working that it's just so much fun and a pleasure for me to be with him.

Sancho makes me so happy at the moment. It is all going so well and we can go for little rides outside again. Also we make really good progress in our parelli groundwork. The time at the barn is in these quarantine times more important to me than ever.

l i t t l e u p d a t e

Soooo, Sancho is doing well again. It's to 90% sure he has "spat" I don't know how it's called in englisch, sorry. He wasn't walking well and so I couldn't ride him for at least 6 weeks, more likely 8 or 10 I don't know. We did a lot of walks and did a lot of groundwork which is a lot of fun too. He is very motivated and listens well. Friday and yester day I was able to sit on his back for 20 minutes. It was just so nice.

He is enjoying the weather and is doing well ❤️

I know I didn't post for a while now. A lot is happening at the moment, with the Corona. But this is not why I didn't post. Sancho ist well, I will post an update on him in a second.

The reason is... it's still hard to say and I still don't fully realise it... I had to say my final goodbye to my cat Bennie. You saw him on my Christmas post. He left our world on Thursday, 5th March 2020. He suffered from cancer and we had to decide very fast. Of course we didn't want him to go but it was not about us, it was about him.

He was 12 years old and had the greatest life in his second home with my family. We got him with 4 years, he was overweight and just not in a good condition. We saved him, otherwise his previous owner would had taken him to the shelter. He was such a lovely boy and after a little while he began to trust us and I know he loved us as much as we loved him.

I spent 8 years with him and this pain I feel at the moment was worth every second he was by my side. He was my best friend when I was sad and when I was happy. I believe that he woldn't have become this age in a shelter. He needed so much attention and cuddles and I am so happy that he came to us. We all cried the evening because he was truly a member of the family.

Everyday there is at least one moment I want to call for him or when I think he is coming around the corner any moment... and then reality hits. I can really deal with it now but to get used to his absence will take a long while I think. For all of us.

Okay I think I said already to much but it's good to write it a bit down and yeah, this is the end of this post.

You will always be remembered, sweet little boy❤️

Sancho has some blockages at the moment. The vet did some acupuncture with him two days ago. Now it's just a lot of walk and a bit trot for the next ten days. And a lot of love and cuddles of course💕
