MAIN CAST AND THEIR LOVE LANGUAGES
it’s nice to be back! after replaying omori more than usual, i made up my answers through my personal analysis and headcanons, so i hope you enjoy!
SUNNY — QUALITY TIME
shown throughout the game, SUNNY is someone who doesn’t like to be alone. his good memory allows him to remember the good times he has with his friends and cherish them dear into his mind.
even in silence doing absolutely nothing, SUNNY would still cherish the time with you because that’s how much he enjoys being with you. he likes the quiet anyway.
he doesn’t enjoy being alone, so he’s down with anything you wanna do… even if it’s something he might not enjoy. he’ll try to get through it and suck it up, he likes spending time with you either way.
AUBREY — QUALITY TIME
another person who likes quality time, but she could also be words of affirmation. AUBREY has shown that she hates being alone and enjoys hanging out with the people closest to her, such as the original main cast and the HOOLIGANS.
she likes planning upcoming dates, which she calls 'hang-outs' (she’s a little embarrassed to call them dates, but will never admit it) so you and her can go out together. she also likes going over to your house to spend time with you there.
as much as she doesn’t admit it a lot, she hates feeling alone. as long as she’s with people she cares about, like you, she doesn’t feel lonely and it makes her happy to make new memories with them and you.
KEL — PHYSICAL AFFECTION
KEL just screams physical affection. giving a simple high-five is enough for him to feel pumped up and happy. he’s like the type of guy to have his arm around your shoulder, like he’s gotta be latched onto you somehow.
if you’re comfortable with it, he’ll try to lessen his touch, but he can’t promise it when it’s basically how he shows affection towards those he cares about deeply in his heart.
words of affirmation can also be his thing as well! he likes cheering you on with words that help him out whenever he’s sad. he’s like your personal and number one cheerleader as well!
BASIL — GIFT GIVING
while this one was a little tough, but i think it works well sort of? BASIL could also be words of affirmation or acts of service too, either way he enjoys receiving any kind of affection thrown at him.
he likes both receiving gifts and giving them! he might get flustered, but he will forever be grateful for any gifts. and he will, of course, think carefully on what to give you.
he’s definitely assigned you a flower, no questions asked. that itself is like his whole love language, a flower that will always remind him of the people he loves and cherishes, including you!
HERO — ACTS OF SERVICE
HERO is quite literally the king of acts of services. he could also be words of affirmation too, he likes to offer advice and help cheer you up with cheesy, romantic words to make you laugh. but of course, he also means those words too!
you got some chores around the house? he could help finish them for you! are you hungry? he’s already cooking up something tasty! are you sick? he’s already got you resting in your bed and on his way with some warm soup for you to eat!
he also doesn’t mind if you wanna do some acts of services for him, he appreciates it more than you know. he doesnt wanna admit it, but he does need the help sometimes, especially with how stressful college seems to be for him. but hey, at least he’s got you!
MARI — WORDS OF AFFIRMATION
MARI is basically the queen of words of affirmation. her words can hype up and make anyone feel better in just a few seconds! she also enjoys quality time with you, picnic dates or just simply spending time with her makes her very, very happy.
right next to KEL, she’s like your personal cheerleader. her encouraging words can always give you the motivation and strength you need! there are some days where her words might not be enough but that’s okay, even she has those kind of days..!
now onto receiving. she loves to receive physical affection, if you’re okay with it. if not, that’s totally fine, it’s not a need anyway. she does enjoy holding hands with you so hopefully you’re okay with that. if you aren’t then.. that’s okay too!

honestly its sweet that you enjoy laying on KEL’s lap. Knowing that he goes out and plays basketball means he’s probably, and in the nicest way, smelly.
if you don’t mind it, that’s fine! he might start borrowing some of his moms perfume though if you do mind…
he probably plays with your hair a little bit, y’know just for fun. he will stop if you don’t like it though. he’ll give you the ugliest hairdo ever and he’ll laugh at it.
he’s honestly surprised that you enjoy being on his lap, but you get a close view of his face and dorky smile, so why would you complain?
HERO
HERO doesn’t mind if you like to lay on his lap, the guys had some experience with people doing the same (KEL, for an example.)
he likes to give your scalp a nice massage, as he knows how relaxed it makes you feel. sometimes you’ll probably even fall asleep on his lap because of it.
he smells nice, he probably uses some perfume often so there’s no complaints about any smell. he’s like the perfect guy whos lap you’d want to rest your head on for the rest of your life.
his legs might get numb though, but he’ll manage for sure. he likes seeing your relaxed face after all, his legs are a sacrifice for that cute (in his eyes) look on your face.

SUNNY doesn’t mind your indecisive and shy nature, he’s quite literally the same as well. he could make some decisions for the two of you sometimes but also feels bad for it afterward.
he enjoys the comfortable silence you might bring, as it’s a nice welcome from the chaos he’s seen and heard from his other friends.
speaking of other friends, he of course introduces you to them. they don’t mind your quiet nature too since they already have SUNNY as a friend.
if at any point you decide to follow your heart and open up, SUNNY would be surprised but also proud. he’s glad that you’re getting more expressive and decisive, it’s a small step but you’re getting there!
he also wants to help more in any way he can, even if he can’t express it well. he’s also unsure how to help exactly if he’s also like you, shy and quiet.
sometimes there’s a bit of miscommunication from the two of you but i’m sure you two work it out in the end… or not.

he doesn’t mind the awkwardness, he thinks he’s pretty awkward himself so who is he to judge? there might be some silence between you two but he thinks it’s comfortable silence.. while you probably think it’s awkward instead.
he sees that you start warming up on him. he’s an observer, so he notices the signs you’re getting comfortable with him. he likes it, he likes that you’re comfortable with his presence.
once you two are dating, nothing honestly changes. giving affection can be awkward for the two of you, but you guys will get used to it some day.. probably.
AUBREY
another one who also doesn’t mind how awkward you are.. sometimes. it bothers her a bit but she gets used to it eventually, as she tries to understand how you must feel. it also reminds her of a friend.
unless it’s a big major thing that you usually don’t do, she might not notice that you’re slowly warming up to her. she’s a bit dense sometimes but never admits it. once she does, her heart feels a little warmer knowing she makes you comfortable.
once you start dating, she tries to help you come out of your shell more and being open if that’s what you’re okay with. if not, she’s cool with that as well. either way, she wants to be the best girlfriend for you.
KEL
put an introvert and extrovert in the same room, they’ll come out great friends! he doesn’t mind your awkwardness as well because he has friends who are also like that! he’s used to it, and would never judge you.
he’s dense, but he slowly notices you’ve been growing comfortable enough around him and it makes him ecstatic! definitely pointing it out, and he would tell you he’s happy about it!
he also wants to help you get out of your shell if you’re okay with it, even after you two start to date. he’s your number one cheerleader no matter what!
BASIL
he’s.. well.. the most awkward person to be around when you first meet him. just like you, he will slowly get more comfortable. for now, the awkward silence is definitely… there!

MARI
and of course, she’s also someone who doesn’t mind how nervous you are around her and others. she sometimes lets out a small chuckle if you ever let out one of those noises when you feel nervous, but she actually thinks it adorable!
she loves to tease, and she’ll tease you when she notices you’re being more comfortable with her, but of course she lets you know she feels honored.
even while you two date she tries to get you out of your shell, she also has a shy little brother, and she wants you to be the best version of yourself! if not, that’s okay too.

SUNNY
depending on how big the dog is, he’s initially startled at first. he just stares at it with those black void eyes of his, unsure what to do. the dog doesn’t have a collar so he isn’t sure if it really belonged to anyone.
he for sure can’t and doesn’t want to keep it, he’s more of a cat person. speaking of a cat, he already has a pet cat back at home waiting for him, why would he get a random dog if he already has a pet?
so even if he doesn’t adopt it, if he sees it again, he’s gonna give it some affecting like rubbing its head then leave. he’s not a monster!
AUBREY
she’s unsure what to do at first, she might walk past it but pets it before she does but you didn’t hear it from me. i can’t really see her as a dog person, maybe with a small dog probably.
just like SUNNY, she already has a pet at home, and especially with the terrible condition her home is in, bringing a dog in wouldn’t help. besides i don’t think her mom would enjoy another animal in the house.
she’ll sometimes feed it if she spots it again, considering that if it doesn’t have a home, it must go hungry or thirst almost all day. i like to think she has a soft spot for animals.
KEL
he’s definitely gonna play with it. he sees a dog, immediately goes to play with it. he loves dogs! it’s a big breed? he doesn’t care! it’s a small breed? also doesn’t care! big dog person, this guy.
unlike the other two, he actually tries to take it home and beg his parents for another dog. HECTOR needs another dog friend after all! of course his parents say no, much to his disappointment.
that’s not gonna stop him though! he’s definitely feeding it, walking it whenever he walks HECTOR as well, and plays with both dogs at the park or just outside his house. nothing can stop that man from befriending dogs!
BASIL
again, depending if it’s a big dog or not, he too will also be startled. he’s more nervous, as he doesn’t seem like a dog person. he’ll just say hi to it then walk away. awkward guy.
he’d love to take care of something like he does with plants, but he’d rather have something more.. introverted or something like that.
either way, eventually the more times he sees that dog, the more open he gets with it. after a while of realizing it probably wont bite and doesn’t have rabies, he would pet it and give it the affection it deserves.
HERO
the most reasonable one, he would immediately ask around if anyone as lost their dog. if they haven’t well.. that’s awkward. he can’t take it home and care for it, his parents wouldn’t let him because they already have a dog, but he can’t just leave it roaming it around the streets!
after making sure it has no rabies and intentions to bite him, he immediately goes home and probably gives it a bowl of dog food they give to HECTOR like the nice guy he is. he would keep it some company before he has to go, as he’s a busy man.
legally it’s not his dog, but in a way it is at the same time. whenever he visits his hometown, he makes sure the dogs doing alright and feeds it. even if he can’t bring it back home, he’ll still take care of it.
MARI
she would never just walk away from a random animal in the streets. she may be a cat person, but she’s also a kind individual. another reasonable one, she first makes sure it doesn’t bite before asking around if anyone has a missing dog like the one she found.
if nobody comes forward, then she kind of has no choice but to leave it outside. she can’t bring it back, they already have a cat! another pet would already be too much in the family.
despite this, she’ll take care of it when she has time. she drops by to feed it some food whenever she can. she would never leave a poor animal starving! she also hopes that one day, someone else can take the dog in and give it a nice place to live in.
Ok so this isn’t a request but I had a dream about OMORI where Mari and Aubrey switched places. It was weird, to say the least…
