Tumblr claims to be the easiest way to blog. A big statement, but shown by the exploding popularity of the platform, it is in many ways true. Calling itself a micro-blogging platform, Tumblr takes a leap to the next level of simplicity where you can post all sorts of media in seconds. With a very heavy focus on social media and interaction, Tumblr is a great way to create a slick, modern and social blog.

“ Why we choose tumblr as class blog? ”
It’s part blogging platform like Wordpress or others blogger and part social networking service, letting users create and post their own original content. Our member can follow creator. Tumblr is extremely visual, and also tends to have younger users quick to use reblog or post videos/photos/articles and also easy version of a blog. The most important thing , easy to get started.

REFLECTION ON AUDIT SEMINAR
From the seminar,I got to know more about Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (MICPA). It has 30 council members and 15 working committees.I also learned that there are 3,200 members and 800 candidates in MICPA while 15% work overseas.I learned that I can be a part of a global network of 800,000 professional accountants with my GAA passport.
I got the chance to know the president and vice president of MICPA through this seminar.
1.PRESIDENT - DATO’ ABDUL RAUF RASHID
2.VICE PRESIDENT - MR TAN THENG HOOI
This seminar also revealed me about the collaboration between MICPA and Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICCA).This collaboration started since 2009 as a joint programme which grants memberships to both institutes.
I got to know that the ICCA and the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA) members have voted in favor of creating one new institute namely Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
I also got to know the council members of MICPA.Some of the members are:
ROZAINI BIN MOHD SANI - chief operating officer
MR LEE TUCK HENG - partner
DATO’ MEGAT SHAH - partner
MS THERESA GOH - partner
I realized that if we took the MICPA-CAANZ Programme,we would be able to get dual qualification which is:
2 membership
2 titles [ CPA (M) + CA (ANZ) ]
WHY MICPA?
From this seminar,I got to know the reasons why we need to choose MICPA as our choice. The following are the reasons :
Relevance
Respected
Partnership with CAANZ
Global recognition & network
Fast-track for diploma holders
Realistic & achievable
Application skills
Personal development
Assessment structure
Quick to complete
Employer support
MICPA conducts two (2) levels of examinations namely Professional Stage Examination and Advanced Stage Examination. The Professional Stage Examination is tailored for Diploma in Accounting holders who wish to continue on to the Advanced Stage Examination without having to complete a Degree in Accounting.
1.ADVANCED STAGE EXAMINATION
I got to know more about this programme in details through in this seminar. The details are as follow:
There are 5 modules in the programme :
1.CAPSTONE MODULE
2.AUDIT & ASSURANCE
3.FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & REPORTING
4.MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING & APPLIED FINANCE
5.TAXATION
Candidates can undertake 4 technical modules in any order and must complete the programme with the final capstone module.I also got to know that there are 3 terms in a year for the technical modules in which each term is 12 weeks in duration. Two technical modules are offered in each term and candidates can enrol for only one module per term.Lastly,I understood that the final capstone module is offered twice a year in which each session is 14 weeks in duration.
I also learned that the overall pass rate to-date is 70% from this seminar.
2.PROFESSIONAL STAGE EXAMINATION
Next, attending this seminar,I received many information about the Professional Stage Exam (PES).
This examination consists of 4 modules which is:
Business & Company Law
Auditing
Financial Reporting
Business Strategy & Financial Management
This is a closed-book exam.
Candidates would have to complete 2 modules per term.
Lastly, this programme can be done by candidates as either part-time or full-time study.
I learned so many things form this seminar which will surely guide me in my future planning. The facilitator presented the seminar very well and the information she passed was observed full and fully by us.Thanks for organizing such a useful seminar.
Reflection on audit seminar🌸
That seminar was carry out by MICPA members..During that seminar,we learn a lot of things about a journey in auditing..
The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), which was established in 1958, is another accountancy body that is involved in the training and development of accountants in Malaysia.
MICPA continues to play a key role in the setting of accounting standards and technical advisory for the Malaysian regulatory bodies responsible for carving out the business and financial landscape of this nation. The Institute continues to play an instrumental role in the research and development of accounting and auditing standards in Malaysia. As a founding member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), MICPA has also contributed significantly to sustaining the accounting profession globally.
Things was discussed during that seminar:
1)what Is micpa?
2)the advantages of it
3)the objectives of it.
4)the function of it
5)roles of micpa and other regulatory bodies?
6)working levels
After that seminar…I have learn a lot of things about regulatory bodies.it gives clearer image about auditing… I would like to thanks everyone who gave us this opportunity to attend this seminar..

Encik Fauzi showed us a slideshow on the topic of By-Laws and as I am very interested in Law subjects, this topic really caught my eye. By-Laws(on Professional Ethics, Conduct and Practice) as the name suggested are about ethics, conducts and practices. We were introduced to Sections related to it and the explanations. Encik Fauzi also touched a bit on Companies Act that we will study in more detail later. At the end of our class, we had a quiz on chapter 1; 4 questions regarding the definition of financial audit, compliance audit, the 4 services provide by CA firms and audit scope.
