i started this blog in 2011 right before we moved to Tokyo in order to document - mostly photographically - the crazy and wonderful that is Japan (hence the title). after about a year, we sadly had to move on. now that we're in Cape Town (perhaps the cultural opposite to Tokyo), i haven't been too sure what to do with this page. even though you're no longer in japan, i love all this and i'm crying internally at the beauty :)

thanks so much!  i am actually in japan right now, temporarily, for just a month. i took the opportunity to buy a new camera, and so I'm trying it out. :) it really is an amazingly beautiful place; i wish i could do it better justice with my photos.
