I think my ghost shrimp is pregnant. Are those eggs inside her belly?
My 10g tank is so full of lush. 😍
How do you acomplish this?! 😍😍😍😍😍
Co2 + proper lighting. I also have a strict schedule on how long both should be running. You just have to be careful because if there's too much of both then your tank will be filled with algae in a matter of few days. I learned my lesson the hard way. 😅
My 10g tank is so full of lush. 😍
Left is Freedom, right is Sky and the bottom one is Luffy. My 3 adorable bettas. They each live in their own separate aquarium. Sky lives in a 10g tank along with a couple of cories and ottoes. Luffy thrives in his 20g tank with his tank buddies like the tetras, cories and some ghost shrimps. And lastly, Freedom lives with a single tank mate which is a snail. It's been 8 months now since we started on this journey. I remember buying my first fish at Walmart, which was a gold fish along with a bowl. I thought keeping a fish in a bowl was simple. I had no idea about water parameters like nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, etc. or even identifying if the fish is under stressed. Like all first time fish keeper, I lost the gold fish within a month. After that happen I did thorough research and educate myself on how to take care of an aquarium and also making sure that the fish are in good health.
Bought this Fluval Chi about a month ago and really loving it. You can put this compact aquarium anywhere you like. It's about 5 gallon and has a built in filter along with a nice LED light. Got some Anubias in the back of the ornament along with a moss ball. I tried putting some Cyperus Helferi but sadly they didn't make it. I'm pretty sure that they thrive on low tech tank but I guess the light wasn't sufficient enough on this one. It also could've been that there wasn't enough nutrients in the water itself for that kind of plant to thrive on. My betta fish, Freedom, seems to be having fun in his tank. He's in really good shape. I noticed that he makes bubble best ever now and then but I always feel guilty whenever I do water changes I destroy his nest. 😓😓😓😓
He’s getting comfortable in his new home. It’s been 2 days and I’m still trying to think of a name. I was thinking Bubbles but I don’t think it fits him. Lol
Any suggestions for a name??
Here’s the progression on my 10g tank. There’s so much lush in this one because of the dirt that’s underneath the substrate. I also put some root tabs down there and doses with co2 injection, seachem flourish and potassium. Having a bit of an algae problem though but the shrimps and ottos should handle it. The water is a bit cloudy too but that should go away in a couple of days. Having so much fun into taking care of this tank. I’m planning to turn it into a betta sorority tank soon.
I loved it up until the last sentence.
I really would recommend against that.
I know you won’t listen to me, but please hear me out, betta sororities are not good.
This is only a 10 gallon, also. I would not do that D:
Betta sororities are a terrible idea, and a 10 gallon makes a terrible idea even WORSE. Don’t do this. It’s a gorgeous tank, you can put a school of chili rasboras, other nano fish or even a pair of sparkling gouramis in that tank instead and have a happy, healthy tank. Bettas don’t belong in groups. Don’t do this.
I really advise against sororities altogether; female bettas can be almost as territorial as males. It’s in their genes.
But in a 10 gallon tank it’s asking for a disaster to happen.
Thank you for all of your suggestions.
Guess I have to find a male betta fish for this beautiful tank. 😊

It’s been a month now and I’m so happy that Chili is getting comfortable in his new environment. The filter and the airstone is producing strong current and he sometimes gets tossed around. Lol
He still getting used to the new environment. He gets stuck by the filter a lot. Lol
Meet my new betta Chili.
My Betta fish, Magic. He was in for some rude awakening when I woke him up trying to take this picture. Lol
