so I saw some sort of game teaser that was clearly ripping off the Rivals Introduction video, so I’m gonna go ahead and assume that game is some sort of Lovesick-esque type of remake for YS.

my thing is, people who like YS dgaf about these types of remakes. the only people you’re attracting are people who hate YS, so you’re only building a community based on pure hatred. which, ig that’s what those types of games are made from in the first place so whatever.

Dev will continue to work on the game because that’s what he’s been insisting

If Dev steps down, YanSim will be given to another developer rather than sold off

Assuming at least 80% of volunteers have left, Dev will have to spend another several years finding new people and replacing assets before returning to the crowdfunding list

Oh yeah, crowdfunding’s not happening

Amai has been pushed back at least 5 years

Ayano will be replaced entirely (along with every other voice actor possibly)

Game will be completed in 2030, unironically

Although "Why" is a stupid question, it is clear why everyone hates Mida. And I...

I feel sorry for her.

Mida was made a completely cardboard meme character, given that the game presents itself as serious. Because of this, she is actually hated by almost the entire fandom.

I don’t hate her, and I don’t consider it necessary to remake her design and personality completely, because it seems to me that she could become a good and charismatic character even with the data that we have. She just need...a pinch of headcanons, revealing what is in her canon description and story. That will refine her character and make her a more lively, not an absolute hentai parody.

I mean she’s literally a predator (afawk, she’s the one going after Taro). Dev can give her the most complex and sympathetic story of the entire cast, but she’s still going to be who she is at the end of the day. I don’t blame these people for hating her as much as they do.
