The point of the Metatron offering Aziraphale coffee is that this is the first time someone from heaven hasn't ridiculed or question him about consuming food. In fact, the Metatron has consumed things too! He's not like those mean archangels either, he's like you, Aziraphale. See Aziraphale, you are a good angel, truthful and good. And the Metatron is the voice of god, afterall, so it must be true. It's a very straightforward manipulation tactic, I'm not sure there even needs to be a miracle to help it along.
