Babydow Sucks

This blog will chronicle all the ways the website "babydow.com" sucks. I'm talking about the English version... There are German and French versions too, but I won't get into that... Feel free to submit your own examples, screenshots, and stories about how babydow has sucked for you. :) Note: I try to block out player names for the most part in my screen shots, and note that not all these messages and forum posts were directed to or written by me. I seek fair treatment and justice for all babydow players; not just myself.

Every time I go back and look at all these screenshots and whatnot I made... all this bullshit I had to deal with... I just still can’t believe a group of adults acted like this...  They just refused to admit to being wrong.

It was so satisfying getting all my stuff accepted anyway later. It may have taken a while, but I always got my way eventually. He he he he he.

Did I ever post this here? This was one of the funniest, stupidest things to happen on babydow.  My pajama (left) was rejected for “copyright infringement,” because the admins thought a gummy bear was protected under copyright laws, even though there are a shit ton of different gummy bears, and no one owns the right to the general concept of a vague, cartoon-ish bear.

In my ever-necessary trial I had to put on with the admins to get them to treat me like every other player, I made the above images, to show that my PB was not copyrighted, that other PBs that were accepted were also similar to pre-existing art, and that even babydow itself was guilty of using art similar to existing artwork...

Here’s another one of my proposed trade offers.

I want to take this opportunity to tell you the tale of a greedy little liar who tried and failed to steal “Sailing Journey” from me...

So, I had this list up, and other lists, here and there, mentioning that I wanted the coat “Sailing Journey” (seen above.)  One day I noticed it was in my inventory, and I had no idea where it came from or when it had been given to me.  I couldn’t find a record of where it came from anywhere. (Babydow was not good at notifying me when someone sent me a gift so I could thank them properly.)

So I posted on the top of my page something along the lines of “Thank you to whoever gave me ‘Sailing Journey.’”

Then one day someone messaged me and said it was them who had given it to me, so I said thanks... And then they messaged me again saying they desperately wanted it back and blah blah cry cry... and tried to guilt-trip me into giving it “back” to them.

Of course I said no, because first off, I wasn’t confident they even gave it to me in the first place, and second off, you don’t give someone a gift and then ask for it back. Fucking rude...

And of course, after this exceedingly annoying PM-back and forth with this greedy little liar, I asked my Babydow BFF if she had given it to me (because she gave me gifts sometimes, and I assumed it could have been her.)  And she said yes.  So I thanked her, un-thanked the other person, and probably blocked them.

And that’s just one of many examples of the kind of vermin that populated a certain portion of babydow.

I was sometimes pretty strict with my trading...  You kinda had to be on babydow. Otherwise you’d get seven hundred kids PM-ing you demanding the world.

One time I had so many extra magic seeds that I decided to make an adoption center, because I knew my audience and babydow players loved this kind of thing.  I charged 1 PB - any PB, really, because I didn’t want the magic seeds anyway.  

I know someone adopted Tetris. I don’t remember if anyone else took me up on this offer.
