Watercolor and Gouache on Paper
Oldie but a goodie! This is my earliest Praying Mantis lady art I've made that I'm willing to show. The very first Praying Mantis lady is a pretty crunchy sketchbook spread from my freshman year of undergrad so, we'll see if I ever share that here. But, I think this one holds up. I loved playing with this seductive, scary, alien bug woman who was constantly murdering men who were casually dating on apps. I'll admit, I'm lucky enough that I've never used dating apps cause I've been dating my partner for so long. So admittedly, this work came from an ignorant place. However, I still hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think of my bug lady cause I have many more paintings of her to show.

Beaded Embroidery and Watercolor Painting on Mixed Fabric
I was lucky enough to be chosen to be one of Milwaukee's Var Gallery's 2025 Emerging Artists! I remember going to their 2024 Emerging Artists show (insanely talented group btw) and I felt so honored to be asked despite moving back to Illinois. I made these along with "Ghoulfriends" for the show and it was my first gallery show after leaving MKE. Very sweet and very grateful :)

Oil on Canvas
This was my first oil painting that made me fall in love with the medium. It also started my obsession with just painting whatever was in my camera roll.

Watercolor + Gouache on Paper
This is the first painting I’ve finished since graduating. There’s a million excuses as to why it took me so long to get back into making but, I think a lot of it was me waiting for my life to feel all together again like it did while I was in school. And the truth is life is never going to feel that way again. But that’s life! This piece was made after visiting MKE for the first time since moving back home to be with my family. Thank you to my beautiful friends for always inspiring me.

Upcycled Quilting and Beaded Embroidery

Excited to post my textile art here! I love my mini quilts I want to make more they're so cute and fun. I remember making both of these in one afternoon leading up to graduation after a local gallery made an open call for fabric art in their upcoming show. I ended up getting into the show and the opening was the same day as my graduation ceremony and my boyfriend was in town to see it :)
I'll be sure to post more quilting/embroidery work here soon

"Dinner and a Show (Am I My Father's Daughter?)"
Oil on Muslin
11/13/23
25"x37"
My original description when I wrote this was pretty TMI TBH, so I'm not going to repeat that here. If you're so compelled you can find it on my Instagram which I'll link in the bio, but you HAVE to like it and leave a nice comment. For real. But, to keep it brief here, I made this during a time where I was in school and being emo about my dad and relating to him was freaking me out.
This is another one of my absolute favorite paintings I've ever made but, unfortunately I'm trying to be nonchalant about it these days cause I had to re-stretch the canvas after the original frame warped (because I made it bad) and the new frame was too big and it looks crazy now. Maybe I'll post what it looks like now here for possible suggestions on how to save it but who knows I might be too embarrassed.
Love You!!

Oil on Canvas

26"x26"
This was the last painting I made as a student at MIAD. I graduated almost 2 years ago but, it's definitely still one of my favorites. I'm hoping to start posting more of my art here soon. I'm sort of jumping ship from Instagram cause I just can't take it anymore, so we'll see how things are over here.
If you'd like, please reach out! I'd love to chat and meet more artists over here.

Quilted Portraits No. 1 of Baby, the Impala
17” x 17” cotton fabric (primarily Cherrywood Fabrics)
Like my first portraits (x) and second portraits (x) of Sam and Dean, these quilts use a technique called paper piecing, where you print the pattern on paper and then sew through both the paper and the fabric. This method allows for very precise piecing and tiny, tiny pieces of fabric.
See the finished tote bag here.
I also submitted this for the @spnreversebang 2022! See the accompanying story I Think I’ll Go for a Drive by iamianweareme here.
