persistence and patience.
Sitting in Starbucks, with my sketchbook and crayons, waiting for the train at St. Pancras International.
I cannot see people, no men, women or children, just a sea of souls moving constantly with their karam. One kisses goodbye, another waves hello, forever perpetuating to and fro, to and fro.
Their eyes are filled with stories, tired and old, wandering through countless lifetimes in this never-ending show. I do not cry for the cycle in which they are imprisoned, for it is the sweet beauty of my dear beloved.
Enjoying the journey.
Humility
One day, someone began to distribute hateful leaflets against Baba Isher Singh Ji. A sevak saw this and told Baba Ji. Baba Ji got up, approached the slanderer and said "Please let me distribute them with you"
Such is the humility of true gursikhs.

Heard this beautiful analogy in Katha the other day:
Maya is like a shadow.
When we walk away from the Sun, with our back to it, our shadow leads the way and we are enslaved to it.
When we walk towards the Sun, with our face to the Guru, our shadows fall behind us, and Maya becomes enslaved to us.
When I have no other resources at hand, I find myself writing alot of pointless poems, especially at work, (or during the end of the daily digestion cycle).
Today, for the first time, I wrote one in punjabi, dedicated to my MataJee. My pronounciation isn't topnotch, so forgive me. Had to do a reading as the writing was rather illegible. I think I'm going to try and archive all my old poems. Or perhaps write something meaningful one day!
