There’s a feeling in my stomach I just can’t shake. An anxiety inside me that’s beginning to wake. Breathe. Breathe. I tell myself over and over. But I’m sitting here choking. The air is thinning. The sun is shining, but it’s too dark for me.

I will be brave. I will stand. I will smile. Life is precious. I have been given so much. What do I have to give back for all I have received? This numbing feeling, these tears I can’t contain? No, that won’t do. Another battle, another war.. is worth waging for the girl I’m fighting for. She will breathe again. Heart at rest. She will give back when she finds the strength to stand. And the tears that fall from her face, she’ll let them go. Like grass, she’ll grow. Following rain, that pours. Like the sun, she’ll rise. She will find courage; she will be brave. She’ll see the love all around her.. no longer will she need to be saved.
