Once known to be an exclusive Gentleman's Club by the name of Cambray House, Jackdaw's was recently purchased by Baroness Selaine de Lanverlais as a betrothal gift for her new husband Lord Sebastian of House Vairemont. Now under new ownership and management, Jackdaw's has shifted from a gentleman's club into a high-end dueling club that is happy to host any and all who wish to partake in duels of honor or sport. Come to bet, duel, box, or drink. None will be turned away as long as they are properly dressed and have the right amount of coin.

We're seeking to fill the following general roles for our opens:
This role is very straightforward. Bartenders take orders at the bar and prepare drinks for guests.
If the bar is slow, bartenders are welcome to act as servers on the floor, but this is not required.
Bartenders should be comfortable engaging in small talk with guests at the bar, but are not required to entertain guests for the entire night. If the bar is busy, feel free to move on to the next guest.
Better known as ‘Bookies’. Bookmaker is the regency term.
Bookmakers will take bets on the duels and pay out or collect debts when the duels are over.
There are some guidelines for betting on our carrd, but bookmakers are welcome to get creative if they wish. Feel free to run with it.
Another one that is very straightforward. Healers are there to tend to the duelists after the fact. They tend to wounds and injuries at the request of the duelists.
Players of healers should be comfortable with sending OOC tells to discuss the extentto which a player wants their character to be healed.
Bedside manner is, however, not required.
Someone to call the duels and keep track of the hits!
Announcers need to be comfortable RPing in /yell and need to be able to keep track of the duels as they happen.
Boisterous and charismatic characters would be well suited to this role. But remember, this is still an upscale establishment. So, being posh is a must.
Things to consider before applying:
Jackdaw’s is open on the third Thursday of every month. We are looking for staff that will have good availability on that day.
Jackdaw’s is intended to feel very upscale and Ishgardian. While staff do not all need to be from Ishgard, understanding etiquette and the aristocracy is a must. Characters that are noble, rich, or served in the military are likely to be excellent fits. Though, those are far from the only options.
We are a heavy RP venue and are seeking members who are comfortable approaching guests and helping to generate RP.
Please remember that both you and your character must be 21+.
