i want to change my tags but i have so many saved on here

he remembers what she said and it kills her now to think it again. but she has to be firm, to keep him away even though her heart may scream out for something different. after all, he is not hers to want. he is the pomegranate, she is persephone and having him here could cause trouble for the both of them. 

‘if you remember then why are you back?’ she demands, crossing thin arms over her chest. she had told him the night previous that he should go away. should never return to her ever again. that she did not want him here. she had said awful things, terrible. 

so why did he come back?

a piece of her wants to let him in. to discuss this and figure out a plan of action. after all it is not his fault the way things turned out. they had both once wished for better futures. and there was a soft spot in emily for a lost cause - the mother in her wanting to care for the broken. yet she could not betray her cousin as such, could not go down that road. she’d do better to slam the door in his face now.

instead, she sits and awaits a response. silly, stupid girl.
