Horns was actually pretty good Great acting, great shooting, occasionally half decent script and a compelling plot.

However, the following things were wrong with it: racism, sexism, slut shaming, moralism, religious oversimplification, father idolization, bad script writing for huge amounts of time, an unsatisfyingly “vague” ending, a lack of internal consistency, I know I’ve said racism before but I literally do not remember seeing a single character that was not white, dropping subplots as soon as they’ve served their purpose and an utter trivialisation of homosexual romance.

Plus, all the misogynists are “good people” with “dodgy underneath.”

If you’re going to write a film about murdering a woman, for fuck’s sake don’t spend all your time talking about how bad the men feel about it. Christ. Fuck. Uruurururrrgggh.

Again, I really enjoyed it. I heartily recommend it, but shut your brain off first.
