Well, hellooo there~!✨️

I'm Burgh, Unova's tip-top bug type specialist! Not to mention Castelia City's a-MAZ-ing gym leader~ You could say I heard some of my friends were scurrying around here, and I wanted to see what all the buzz was about... so here I am! Let's all discover new things and share our love for pokemon, hmm?

When I'm not battling as a gym leader, I love to make art. In fact, it's my very favorite thing to do! You can even find some of my works in Castelia's own art gallery from time to time. I'm a painter at heart, of course, but I find art in all its forms to be so insectibly fascinating!

I'm afraid just following me on Rotumblr won't get you many sneak-peaks into my upcoming works, though. Aha, in fact, I don't really think I have many sneak-peaks to give out, even if I wanted to. I work a bit on impulse, you see-- whenever inspiration strikes me, that's when I do most of my work!Sometimes even I don't know when my next painting will be completed...

Ah, but enough about that. After all, I don't mean to imply that battling is a second-rate hobby of mine! No, no, not at all! Battling alongside my bug type pokemon is also my very favorite thing to do! Especially with my Leavanny. Did you know that a Leavanny's forelimbs are oh-so-very sharp? They're made for cutting very precise measures of the silk it secretes from its mouth, but they do just fine in battle, too! Leavanny learns how to use Slash the very moment it evolves and can master Leaf Blade at a remarkably low experience level... just another reason bug type pokemon are so amazing.

Aside from that, I do believe I've properly introduced myself! Very good! I think I'm enjoying this Rotumblr place already~! ✨️🎨

Drifblim! What a delightful pokemon! Alice is very fortunate to have a trainer who cares for her so.

It's not the same, but I will say that when I'm busy as a Combee, I may just sound like one, too! I love to buzz about when I'm in the zone, and sometimes I don't even know that I'm doing it. Not to mention, I have been known to copy my Leavanny's trills for a little back-and-forth between us. She seems to enjoy it! I do hope I'm not saying anything strange to her in Leavannese, ahaha!

Well, hello again! How delightful to hear from you! Let's see to your question, shall we?

Hm... well, I'd say the answer is "all of the above"! In a way. Although you're less likely to find bug pokemon in your cereal than you are to find them in cellars and attics, especially if you keep your food properly sealed up.

For some bugs, winter time means business as usual. Dewpider that live in colder regions can be found going about their lives just fine under ice covered ponds, and Nincada underground hardly feel the change in season from their cozy insulated nests.

Now, others are not so lucky. Some bug pokemon seek out warmth when winter comes knocking, which means they show up in people's houses more often than not. That's how you end up with Spinarak in your closet and Venipede at your door! Obviously, that's not where they're meant to be, and we ought to gently remove them in those situatiobs... but I can't help but feel bad for them! I confess, I've let wild bug types spend time in my apartment on occasion when the whether gets too cold...

Cold-sensitive bugs with wings like Beautifly and Butterfree don't need to wriggle into buildings! They tend to migrate away from cold temperatures. It's really quite the sight, seeing them flying together over the horizon!

Other bug pokemon hibernate over the winter. For example, Combee stop collecting nectar and huddle up with their Vespiqueen, living off their honey stores and vibrating their wings to keep warm! It's some insectibly fascinating behavior! Ledyba also huddle up to sleep the winter off. It's very, very cute!

I think that about sums it up! I hope that answers your question. And how are you doing, as the winter months come closer and closer? Personally, I've never liked the cold, although I do enjoy any opportunity to wear a good scarf.

hi. call me snap. not my real name, obviously. we practice basic internet safety here. i go by it/its. think of me like a stone that sank to the bottom of a pond after someone failed to skip it across. or the mud at the bottom of a swamp, warmed by the processes of decay. or whatever you want, if it helps you get my pronouns right. i don't really care.

i lived in the galar region for most of my life. that's where i caught my partner pokemon: jaws the stunfisk. jaws the galarian stunfisk, if you want to get specific. in the present day, i've been dragged to lumiose city by my family. something about a fresh start, job opportunity, whatever. don't they realize everything that's fresh rots eventually?

i'm less than thrilled about the move, in case you couldn't tell. my sister, on the other hand, is ecstatic. i don't care about her internet safety, so i'm going to tell you her real name is aisha, she's 16 years old, her favorite color is purple, and she broke her left ankle a while back so you can definitely catch up to her if she tries to run. do with that information what you will.

she's doing this thing called the "z-a royale", which as far as i'm concerned, isn't any better than what galar has going on. she's still at rank y and is going to stay there forever because her pokemon won't evolve for the next million years. she's got a binacle and a noibat. both kalos pokemon she caught back in galar. i guess this move really was meant for her.

i'm here mostly to get into internet arguments and spill all my thoughts for the world to see. send me an ask if you want. don't if you don't.
