The red dress Christmas edit

The festive season is here and every year it rolls around a little quicker.  And the party invites are rolling in thick and fast and every weekend is filling up.

Whatever the Christmas function your attending, I’ve got you covered in red.  These are the best red dresses in store.

Work Christmas Party

Assuming its a cocktail function, these are my 2 favourites!

This week over on the blog, I'm talking about thrifting and I've give you my top 5 thrifting tips. I picked up this Sportcraft tee for $5 at @studio_thrifty_4 , and was the perfect fit and I've paired it back with my navy shorts. (at Redcliffe, Queensland)

Get Thrifted

Somehow, last week turned into my Thrifted week.

I attended or should I say shopped at Lifeline’s $2 clothing sale at Gold Coast - I walked out spending $8 and brought a vest, 2 Black and White shirts and a dress.

On Thursday night my friend and I went to Studio Thrifty4 were all items were $5 dollars.  The proceeds of the evening were donated to the homeless (shopping with great cause!)

I brought a black work skirt (no one really wants to buy this, BUT we all need work clothes) and a striped tee (photo below).

One of my best buys from Studio Thrifty4 was $1 dollar pale pink Juicy Couture bangle!

Here are my stylist tips for thrifting

Look for patterns of colours that you like and then assess if you like the item and if it will match back with existing wardrobe.

Wear easy clothes to try things on, sometimes the change rooms can be busy so if needed try items over the top of what your wearing.

Check sizes (Just because its marked a 12 it may actual fit due to stretchy material or item can be a large fit.)

Some good finds may be found in the pile to put to be put back/floor/ door of change room (true story).  It’s a search mission and you never know what you may find.

ALWAYS take a friend with you, its way more fun!

Today, I had quick trip to Gold Coast to go to Lifeline $2 super sale and the Billabong outlet sale and spent some quality time with my sister! Insights on letting my friends dress me last week

What a fun week last week was, a definite talking point in my office and it was nice knowing well in advance what I was wearing each day.

I seem to have a thing for skirts

My friends know me well

I have renewed sense of perspective by putting myself back in my clients shoes it can be brave and scary giving control over but at the end of it, your sense of style will shine through.

Today I was challenged by Nat to wear yellow and I do have a couple of yellow/mustard shirts but they all on the winter casual side and I have meetings on today.
