Knotty Kingdom is a custom crochet hat line I started with several reasons as to why. First, being that I love hair fashion; scarfs, turbans, hats, weaves, wigs, etc I love the fun and creativity that can go in to expressing myself through this part of my being. Second would be to give special recognition and hair accessory options to those fighting cancer, alopecia, and other forms of diseases (% of profit will go to foundations/or item will be discounted) that affects not just the human health but also the human crown which can be a difficult psychological experience. Lastly, because the people I love rock dreads, all natural curls, twists, braids, bald, and many more styles. So! why not create custom hats through my love of designing where people can be creative with how they want their crown to look! Contact me for inquiries!

Sad day in the world of Music. The lconic Prince , flying away to a new level on 4/21/16 at age 57

As I sit here listening to "Adore," I come to remember how impactful this man was and will always be on my love for music. His expression of pain, joy, love challenges and so on were shown in addition to his bold, inspirational spirit.

Adore right now is touching my soul. He leaves a legacy that will last beyond this day. We must be grateful. Like other icons that passed away before their time, he's so appreciated for sharing the depths of his soul in ways others may be afraid to.

Fly in peace Prince, I may not be able to see you perform live here on earth, but I can only imagine the show you're putting on in the spiritual world.

Fashion Friday! Head Fashion that is! I'm a queen of many styles and want you to know you can beautify your outfit with simple crown styles. Perfect for those days you just don't feel like doing much with your hair OR when you just want to add extra creativity to your look. It's cultural, quick, and of course cute! Some of our favorite celebrities also take this route!

these styles can be created with everyday items. In some of my photos I've used pants, jumpsuits, scarves, pillow cases. Don't feel you need to spend so much $$$ to show up to the world. It's the attitude, it's the aura ;)

GOD IS THE PLUG

It's Easter Sunday and of all our relationships, let's remember the most important one of them all !!! 

So ask yourself, are you being religious : focusing on the do's, don'ts, wants, and desires

OR

are you spending time at HIS feet, getting to know HIM and enjoying HIM as you would with your favorite person to be around. 

I'm learning the importance of this within my personal spiritual walk.

Imagine receiving a call from someone with a request yet he or she has not had much concern for your whereabouts or the new things that may be happening in your life. He or she is not aware of how you hurt, how you love, and simply who you are as a person. (This can apply to many beliefs.)

I've learned we must be intentional, pure hearted, and open to this relationship that I believe will be very rewarding in itself due to the peace it creates within our lives.  

He deserves it, our love, time and attention. We just have to open his Word, and really get to know Him .

 &  Then, we may be given the desires of our hearts according to HIS will.

That Red Dot

The time of the month can be such a tremendous PAIN , literally. Especially if you're me. I experience all the symptoms, cramps, back pains, bloating, and more horrific things that happen to us women.

However, being conscious of your body up until the beginning of the cycle in addition to during can help eliminate the things I've mentioned above. Lets go through a list...

1. Eliminating red meats

  - this is a tough one if you crave that juicy steak or burger often but the greasiness and inability to break down quickly can cause the digestive system and lower body discomfort with the toxins that remain.

2. Exercise

 - this is helpful leading up to the cycle not so much as when your on the cycle. Staying active keeps the body energetic and strong enough to push through the oncoming cramps and also helps towards releasing toxins.

3. Eating healthy

- fruits, green vegetables and plenty of water. Your body will thank you after.

4. Iron consumption

- Many women with iron deficiency problems can experience a sickly cycle due to copious amounts of blood loss. Therefore, iron supplements and intake during the cycle can add ease to the immune system. Personally it makes my cycle more smooth. An intake of iron 2/3 days before the cycle, like pain meds, will be more helpful towards it settling in the body. (consult with doctor/pharmacist about proper intake)
