Could you write a prayer for Mut please?
Consort of Amun-Re,
O' Great Mother,
You cradle my heart, my heart, my heart.
Your warm breath fills my nostrils,
alighting my ka with strength.
You are my guardian,
and my legs are firm.
Dua Mut!

My newest original "She Who Is Powerful". This is the literal name of the goddess Sekhmet
Radiant with the heat of the sun, potent with rage and divine wrath. She brings death and retribution to those who live outside of Ma'at (balance, justice, truth, and harmony). She also brings healing to those who appease Her, for there is nothing She cannot heal. Watercolor, colored pencil, and white ink on 9 X 12 smooth Bristol board. THIS POWERFUL ORIGINAL IS FOR SALE, as are prints and tapestries. Click here to see!

SEKHMET
First born of Ra. She was the lion goddess of war and vengeance. Also from disease and medicine. She was a symbol of strength and power, and it was said that her breath created the desert.
Amun-Ra, The Hidden One
Honestly one of my favorite gods to draw. I get Him heavily as a cosmic ram, the creator of everything, but He is still very much The Hidden One, too! Shown here both in cosmic form and a more hidden/obscured form :3
O' Truth, Justice,
Feathered-Armed Weigher of the Heart,
I raise my arms to you.
For it is you who I hold firmly in my heart,
enlivening my ka,
lifting my ba towards Re.
You guide my steps,
and support my hand.
You are truth,
and love,
and to you I sing.
Moon temple - the temple of Khons, the Wanderer, in Karnak
The Temple of Mut, Karnak
Dozens of statues have been gathered here that were originally installed in the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, across the river. They depict the healing goddess, Sekhmet.
The temple of Mut itself was built just to the south of the temple complex at Karnak. Karnak was dedicated to the god, Amun. Mut was his wife and consort, usually depicted as a woman with a vulture headdress and crowns. She could also be symbolised by a vulture or a lioness. Her temple was surrounded by a horseshoe-like lake, which is now marked by the significant growth of wild vegetation around the site.
Although the site is currently being excavated, it has recently opened to the public.
The Temple of Mut, Karnak
The Avenue of Sphinxes, connecting Karnak and Luxor temples. It’s about a kilometre long, and would have been used for festival processions in ancient times.
