The Cavalry members' first reaction when they learn about Kishiyu is to confirm that Yuder truly wants this relationship, that it's not something imposed by gender issues, and then assume a protective stance, ready to come to Yuder's defense at any moment. While it's incredibly sweet, demonstrating how Yuder is loved and cherished by the people around him and that he finally has a support network that will always be there for him, it also shows how the Cavalry still doesn't know Kishiar. We know that even with all the issues of power and position differences, their relationship is egalitarian. We know that Kishiar is completely devoted to Yuder and puts him above all else because we know Kishiar. The Cavalry knows the Commander, and before that, they only knew Duke Peletta. Now they know that the rumors surrounding the lecherous Duke Peletta were inaccurate, but they don't know where the truth differs from the lies in these stories. And that's so sad. The Cavalry respects and admires their Commander, but in many ways he is still a stranger, which is why they fear that Yuder, someone they respect and admire even more, will end up getting hurt by something present in this unknown part of Kishiar's personality.
