"Never stop dreaming. I'm sure Meryl never expected herself to become this kind of icon in the movie industry." Meryl was pretty amazing but Ben had some other actors he looked up to more. "I believe in you, Leela!"

Jokes on you. I like whiskey.” Yet, there she sat eyeing the bottle of scotch. Joey would never indulge in wine, champagne, or a fancy cocktail, but she could handle what was considered to be a gentleman’s drink. Well, she could as long as she remembered not to pass her limit. Drunk Joey was highly amusing for everyone and highly embarrassing for Joey. Nothing like admitting how you actually do love your friends and hugging them when you spend your whole life admitting your affection for them is just pleasant companionship.

"To be honest, I think you'd love to prove it to me. I can see it in your eyes." Ben looked at her, that mischievous grin plastered on his face. "Oh really?" Smirking, he moved the bottle from left to right, noticing her eyeing it. "You really are a bad liar. You're not a sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol. We like the same drinks. Why do you think we're friends?!" Opening the bottle, he took a sip before closing his eyes to savour it. "So good... some old scotch...delicious. I would offer but since you're more of a whiskey fan, you probably will hate this."

“At this point, we’re just throwing awards at Meryl Streep for showing up to work, aren’t we?“ She asked the person across the table from her, taking a break from both scrolling through the list of Golden Globes nominees and sipping her white wine. “I’m not even jealous, I’m just in awe.”

"I guess they just believe that Meryl deserves all the awards." Ben chuckled, admitting that the actress was one of his favorites but not to say that she deserves it all. "Who knows, maybe one day that'll be you."

It had been a while since Ethan had seen Ben and frankly, it was no surprise considering how busy both of them had been. He knew that his friend always had something going on at his school and he didn’t blame him for it, not at all. These days, Ethan seemed to always be a little lost in thought so he hadn’t even noticed Ben, let alone that he was following him. It wasn’t long until he got into his apartment that suddenly there was a firm knock that seemed almost familiar and when he heard the right voice to go with it, a broad grin spread on Ethan’s lips. “I should’ve known that moving into the same building as you would turn out to be a horrible idea but oh well, there we have it. I better call the NYPD right now, huh?” He joked through the closed door but was quick to turn to go ahead and open it. “You better don’t. The landlord would kick both of us out in a heartbeat,” he warned as he pulled it open with a beam. “Hi! Long time no see.”

"You're the one that moved to the building your stalker is at. Don't go hating now. Oh please, I'll wrap the NYPD around my finger in no time. I can be very charming." Ethan couldn't see it but Ben was smiling widely behind the door. "Imagine it though, I'd freak you out of I suddenly grabbed an ax and try to get in." Smirking, it felt good to see his friend again. "Come on, big bro hug man." Pulling the guy into a hug, he nodded. "It's been too long. How did our lives suddenly become so busy?!" Shaking his head, Ben was glad that he finally had some time off for winter break. "What have you been up to, dude?!"

"I guess some guys develop early. But really? Facial hair in high school already? Maybe a few hairs but a full on beard? Crazy." Ben was able to grow a beard before all of his friends but when in high school, it was only like a little fluff. "Where exactly are you from then?"

Joey let out a mock gasp, bristling slightly, “It is not a lie! I am kickass and I can kick anyone’s ass easily from here all the way to below the Mason Dixon line!” The more worked up she became, the thicker her Tennessee accent fell out. “I don’t indulge in pizza often, so you know this one has to be good, but you won’t play the game so you don’t get to indulge. Sucks to suck.”

Ben loved winding her up as her accent came out and it just amused him way too much. "I'm still not convinced." He shrugged, trying his hardest to stay serious. "That's hard to believe. I thought you were a big pizza lover. That's a shame as I was willing to share this bottle of scotch I got at work before the holidays but..."

You might as well not be there.” Cillian considered the question. “Depends.” The superintendent had no love for him anymore, receiving frequent noise complaints due to Cillian playing instruments in the middle of the night and having to replace his key numerous times in the few months he’d lived there. The guy could still willfully ignore him out of spite. “Have you got an airhorn?”

"True... I got a lot to think about tonight." Ben smiled. "Funny enough, I do have an airhorn. I like to use that in my classes from time to time. But what are you planning to do with it? I don't feel like waking up the entire building though." He definitely didn't feel like becoming the most hated person on the block.

Since it was finally Christmas break, Ben was glad he could get away from the classroom for a while. Not that he hated it, but a break was always needed after a few months. He loved teaching the kids about drama and guiding them in pursuing their dream of becoming an actor or musical star. Seeing a familiar face walk down the hall, he followed the man, not having seen him in a while and kind of missing his company. And he did feel the need of hanging out with a friend, just to become a little social again. His focus had mainly been on school but now he could make time for other things. Arriving at his friend’s apartment, he knocked on the door. “Ethan, open up! I know you’re in there. I’ve been stalking you all day!” Ben joked, leaning against the door as he spoke through it. “I promise I won’t go all The Shining on you.”

“So, on Saturday we’re doing an acoustic show just uh, cause? We can’t play any major ones cause we’re writing our next album and everything so time is of the essence but I still wanted to do something so we’re doing like a small acoustic show. Do you maybe wanna come? Want cost that much but you now.” Felicity was grinning brightly as she spoke, her excitement clear.

Ben couldn't help but smile at the girl as she seemed so excited about this acoustic show. It always endeared him when people were enthusiastic about something they were passionate about. It reminded him of himself when he was younger. "Sure, I guess i can come. I'm always up to discover some new music.
