GONE GIRL 2014
✨ Gone Girl — Thoughts
finished watching: june 2026 mood: crime, marriage, murder
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
At first, the movie was actually enjoyable. The clips I saw on Instagram made it look really promising, and I genuinely liked the first part of it. Especially the part where she was explaining her own “murder” — how brilliant she was with all the planning and execution just to frame her husband because he cheated on her. That whole setup was so good.
But… the way she did it, there was absolutely no way the husband could have pulled that off. Why? Because he’s so dumb 😭
Just look at him in all the scenes with the police, friends, family, and the press. He was suspiciously stupid through all of it, and honestly most people around him should have realised that there’s no way he was capable of doing something that smart and calculated. I mean, they all doubted him anyway, but still.
The one part of the story I really disagree with was when she got robbed by the nosy neighbour. It was so stupid. There were literally so many ways she could’ve prevented that, even with something as simple as keeping the money outside the house, like in her car, or just hiding it in separate places. For someone who was shown to be so smart and brilliant through the whole two “murders” she managed to stage and sell to everyone, that scene felt the most ridiculous to me.
From that point on, the movie just stopped being enjoyable. It didn’t make sense anymore — it just felt absurd.

TEACH YOU A LESSON 2026
✨ Teach You A Lesson — Thoughts
finished watching: june 2026 mood: school, law, crime, violence, teacher
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
the most heated k-drama so far in 2026. the netflix series Teach you a Lesson. unexpectedly, the reactions are various wordwide! i am so glad to watch this show. absolutely agree with most of the plot. the most memorable episode for me is episode 5.
i learned that this episode is based on the real life event in South Korea and got very sad about it because it was super relatable to my culture here in my country as well. teachers who deal with toxic parents are not uncommon here and there are many news about it everyday too. i got teary during the scene where the little boy apologizes to the teacher because of his mom's actions towards the teacher. to hear such word from the little kid was very heart-breaking to me. also, by the end of the episode during the press conference with the media, when the minister apologizes to the teachers, i also got teary. why? because i feel like the actor wasn't really acting here but was actually asking for forgiveness to the actual victim on behalf of the whole education system and the people who failed to protect the victimized teachers.
though, nothing beats the bullying cases which tops all the episodes. it was very satisfying to watch how they deal with each cases because in real life, many of us could never be able to do the same justice as in the show.
score: 10/10 re-watchability: yesss especially episode 5
THE LEGEND OF KITCHEN SOLDIER 2026
✨ The Legend of Kitchen Soldier — Thoughts
finished watching: june 2026 mood: drama, army, webtoon, comedy
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
I am going to miss the show. the first few episodes are absolute comic! i just love how they introduce each dish and how the soldiers reacting to the food. love the into, love the ending. seok ho finally managed to redeem himself right before the ending is very satisfying to me. justice is done right after all. i enjoy every bit of it; the casts, the story, the friendships, the plot. overall, i think it is a good drama. not too heavy or deep.
score: 10/10 re-watchability: maybe only a few episodes.
TROLLS BAND TOGETHER 2023
✨ Trolls Band Together — Thoughts
finished watching: may 2026 mood: animation, musical
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
my favourite of all the trolls movie! i love musical animations like disney princess movies. the movie is perfect in my opinion. the plot interesting and the pace is well-thought too. my favourite brozone is the sensitive one. he's emotionally intelligent and very mature among all of them. plus, he likes to do the boyband puns. i think it's cute. lol. don't judge me but the evil duo's voices are amazing! i enjoyed theirs songs so much. actually, i've rewatch this movie so many times already. rewatching it in 2026 still gives me the same feeling. i like it still. one thing that i don't understand between poppy and branch, the 'proposing' and 'getting marrid' talks always turn out different while they are in fact boyfriend and girfriend, right? it's almost like both of them are avoiding the topic especially poppy. and branch is just going along with her. it's just my opinion. i don't really follow the whole troll universe, so...

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 2026
✨ The Devil Wears Prada 2 — Thoughts
finished watching: may 2026 mood: fashion, drama
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
overall, it is enjoyable. but i feel like the plot is too repetitive from all the teen movie collections. it becomes annoying how miranda always belittle andy on purpose and without actual reason from the first time meeting again. why does she hate her so much? like "Where was I then?" like what... a little rude and is giving 'pick-me' vibe to me when her life is no better than everyone lese in the movie. as usual, andy always makes things work like getting sasha for runaway the first and second time. but, her flirting with the apartment guy seems a little unnecessary in my opinion. she manages to save herself even without the guy's help. i would love it better is she celebrates her success with her friends, the guy in cap and the painting dealer girl. i think it would be more meaningful. in summary, we already see this movie with different characters and universe - typical teen movie plot. oh, i like that andy and emily become better friends in the end. sisterhood approved! I prefer the first movie.
score: 8/10 re-watchability: maybe yes
HOPPERS 2026
✨ Hoppers — Thoughts
finished watching: may 2026 mood: animation, animals, sci-fi
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i watched the movie several times but only on the third time I could finally focus on the movie and understand the plot better. at first, i watched this movie with my sister while doing some other things, multi-tasking. so that's why we didn't really 'watch' it. and the second time, i was falling asleep mid-story. as i was about to give up and put the movie in my tbw list, my sister was telling me about the plot and how she found it nice.
overall, i agree. this movie is too fluffy which reminds me of the migration movie. so cute!! the hopper machine though... it's giving conspiracy theory material to me. soul-hopping? scary! the concept is a little scary and creepy to my taste despite the 'good' storyline. the idea is very disturbing and the comedy is too dark with death and all. still, i feel bad for the animals. i just can't imagine how they would feel when their home got invaded by the humans. it is a little sad.

PHANTOM LAWYER 2026
✨ Phantom Lawyer — Thoughts
finished watching: may 2026 mood: legal, crime, spirit
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i like the concept of this genre. so far, i've seen a few shows that use the same concept and i enjoy most of them. the castings though, i am not a fan of the heroine because of her role in taxi driver. anyway, the few of the earlier episodes are more interesting but towards the end, the plot becomes super long and plot is not really going anywhere. well, at least the ending in semi-satisfying to me when the initial question finally got answered. i used to wait for the new episode but stopped anticipating from the 9-10th episode.
score: 7/10 re-watchability: no
UNDERCOVER MISS HONG 2026
✨ Undercover Miss Hong — Thoughts
finished watching: march 2026 mood: classic, drama, company
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i am gonna miss this show. unexpectedly, i had fun watching this. i only recently start liking park shin hye's work. during my youth, i didn't really watch her shows. the only one i could remember was heartstring which i never actually watched.
The drama immediately caught my attention from the first few episodes, especially when the main character began acting like a 20-year-old, which made the premise feel fresh and intriguing. The appearance of Yuna was also a pleasant surprise; for her first K-drama role, her acting felt natural and blended well with the cast. I also loved the supporting characters, particularly Miss Go, the assistant, played by Joo Hyun‑young, whom I first noticed in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. What makes this drama stand out is its unique storyline, which feels different from typical K-dramas, along with a smooth and easy-to-follow plot that doesn’t rely heavily on romance. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable show, with friendship being one of its most charming elements.
score: 10/10 re-watchability: yes
GINTAMA 2006
✨ Gintama — Thoughts
finished watching: february 2026 mood: shonen, comedy, historical
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i have been meaning to go into this show sooner and finally did it. i learn what the hype was about and i absolutely love the show so much! the early episodes are easy to watch because the comedy is leaning towards the lighter vibes. moving towards the end of the whole show, the anime begins to be serialized into several heavier arcs.
i still can't move on from the ending to the famous Shogun character. i did not expect it at all. and now, i can't look at any art of shogun-sama from online. they make me sad. but gintama being gintama, the jokes and comedy are still being shown through the serious plots. dirty gags aside, i love this show and now i know why so many people love it too.
as for the characters, i have so many opinions about it. i might have a lot to say for each one of them. but i won't spill it here. i might want to watch the live action as well. i think it's just me, but watching japanese drama or movie with familiar faces like oguri shun feels like visiting the childhood memory.

EMPIRE WAIST 2024
✨ Empire waist — Thoughts

💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
finally watched this show. it had been showing up on my ig explore page so many times already. my opinion, i like it. it was easy to watch, no complex plot and expected result. heartwarming and relatable. the most satisfying part is the red dress! so pretty and glamorous. i think many people could learn a thing or two from this show. the message is very straightforward and clear. also love the high spirited teacher! she's so cute!!

SUMMER STRIKE 2022
✨ Summer strike — Thoughts
finished watching: january 2026 mood: life, crime, romance
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
I’ve always believed that people who are truly free are those who aren’t afraid of disappointing others, even their loved ones. I notice that many characters share this same background story. In anime or dramas, they are often quite similar in this way. A character’s personality usually depends on how many family members they feel responsible for; to become strong and free, that number is often small. (luffy, naruto, tanjiro, and a bunch of other characters, this is also the same for so many characters in kdrama like iu in my mister after losing her grandmother)
for example, the mc in this show becomes more free and independent after her mom died. i love that for her though. she finally finds her smile again after leaving her corporate job and move to a new place. and i like that she's not fussy about her options like the place to stay for example. she makes use everything she has but always put her happiness first. i get in now why they say this is one of the comfort shows out there. it really gives me that vibe too with the ocean and everything. it's very calming.
plus, the additional crime plot is just right to make the whole story interesting. i love it from beginning to the end. at first, i was a bit skeptical because the casts are gorgeous even the male lead which might be the cause for the 'easy' life she goes through after her move. meaning with face like that, her life should be 'easy' or something. i was wrong. the clumsy personality makes the mc less 'perfect' and i could actually relate to the character better.

PRO BONO 2025
✨ Pro bono — Thoughts
finished watching: january 2026 mood: law
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i enjoy this show so much. no unnecessary romance and all that stuff. each cases is interesting on its own. i like that the show has good ending. my favourite cases are the kaya case and the elijah case which reminds me of legally blonde 2 when elle fights the law by changing it. i love it so much. it is super satisfying to watch. meanwhile, the kaya case is very impactful when the mc said something like "who is actually the people of korea, the one who is born in korea or the one who actually lives in it?"
this show presents that the law practice in korea is well-informed by its citizen and everybody seems very good at following orders and abiding it. and i think the law of the country actually protects the people in general. well, regardless of the loophole in the law system, i believe it is built to protect everyone in the country. this show also reminds me of the extraordinary attorney woo. the woo myeong hun guy is also a cast of the attorney woo show.

💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i love season 2 as much as i love season 1. somehow, i am becoming a fan of the isekai after watching a few shows. i find all of them are fun for now. i might search for a new show after this. anyway, this anime is so cute and the food presentations are all mouth watering. i want some of them!! my favourite dish from the show the dumpling! oh how much i would love to learn how to make this dish myself and to have the ability to eat this dish forever without getting tired of it. i want season 3!!!

✨ Debu to Love to Ayamachi! — Thoughts
finished watching: january 2026 mood: drama, crime, romance, comedy
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
watched the first season and not really inspired to keep reading the manga. but i love all the seiyuus!! omg1 everyone's voice is familiar to me and unexpectedly, i recognize most of them only by watching. still, my skill is still lacking because i need to check the va list for the actual answer. anyway, i love all the casts expecially the mc, yumeko who is also voiced by the same seiyuu as totoko-chan from the osomatsu-san series. she's so perfect for the role. i hope the 2nd season comes out soon!
score: 8/10 re-watchability: maybe, because of totoko-chan ^^
MIRACLE IN CELL NO. 7 2013
✨ Miracle in Cell No. 7 — Thoughts
finished watching: december 2025 mood: drama, law, family
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
i rewatch this show after a few years. i remember watching exo members watched this movie and couldn't stop sobbing in exo showtime. it was fun and sad at the same time. but now, as i rewatch this show again, i don't feel as sad anymore. this movie used to make me sob like crazy every time this kid comes up on the screen. i only cried once during the whole show this time and not when the kid appears but when park shin hye shows up. her dialogue in the courtroom is super sad this time and touches me more compared the other scenes.
anyway, only now that i realize that this movie has been remade into so many versions in many countries. i only watch this one so far. i think everyone should watch one of these at least once. it's a great movie nonetheless.

THE GREAT FLOOD 2025
✨ The Great Flood — Thoughts
finished watching: january 2026 mood: psychology, natural disaster? , sci-fi?
💭 thoughts (with spoilers lol):
a first, i thought this movie is a typical natural disaster kind of movie because the whole film is super scenic and convincing. it turns out that it was not really about that. it is almost like a science fiction kind of vibe. maybe it is. i'm not sure how to describe this movie.
the movie begins with a flood right away and after the first time, the movie restarts from the beginning but this time, the child is missing consistently until the end of the movie. and when the mother finally found the child, something else happens because all of it is actually a program by scientists. yeah...that's it. i don't know how else to describe it. not to my liking sadly i only watch because it keeps popping up around me.
