MSec Timeline of Henry and Elizabeth’s relationship
@fsulinz, @laineyvb131 and I spent entirely too much time mapping out what we know and putting in things that likely happened. The only thing that is off for sure is that their anniversary trip aired in January/February 2015 and we have them getting married in November 2014. We totally rationalize this by saying that Elizabeth’s new job may be difficult to find time for a trip on their actual anniversary and then rhe holidays happened so they went after the first of the year. 😁😉

1983 Elizabeth’s parents killed in a car accident
Fall 1985 Henry enters UVA on ROTC scholarship
Fall 1986 Elizabeth enters UVA with a semester’s worth of college credit on a CIA scholarship (meaning she is already an employee of the CIA working summers and promising to work for them upon graduation–yes this program really exists)
Summer 1988 Henry completes Basic Training through ROTC
November 1988 Henry and Elizabeth start dating (one of their first dates is voting)
May 1989 Henry Graduates UVA
June 1989 Henry enters School of Infantry in San Diego
October 1989 Henry transfers to Quantico, VA for the classroom part of flight school
December 1989 Elizabeth Graduates UVA
January 1990 Elizabeth begins her masters in international studies at Duke in Durham, NC (totally picked at random because it is 11 hours from Pensacola and we need that for later, and while many assume she stayed at UVA for her master’s/doctorate, we don’t know that for sure)
April 1990 Henry is stationed at Meridian, Mississippi for the practical part of flight school
July 1990 Henry is stationed at US Naval Flight Training Center in Pensacola, FL flying FA18 Hornets
July 1990-beginning September 1990 Henry drives an unknown number of times to Durham to see Elizabeth
Mid September 1990-Henry has freak out over their relationship, breaks up with Elizabeth and disappears for 3 days before returning, pledging his love, and asking her to marry him (and there’s also this ridiculous skywriter story)
End of September 1990-Henry stationed in Great Lakes Training Center in North Chicago, IL also made 2nd Lieutenant
November 1990-Henry and Elizabeth marry
November 1990-January 1991 Henry and Elizabeth live as newlyweds in Great Lakes
January 1991-January 1992 Henry deployed Desert Storm first in official “war” capacity and then during occupation or peacekeeping or whatever it was called. Made 1st Lieutenant during this time
May 1991-Elizabeth completes her master’s and starts at the CIA full time-She lives and works in DC
February 1992-October 1992-Henry is still in the military on shore duty (unsure where, but not near Elizabeth)
November 1992-December 1993-Henry does his second tour-theoretically in Iraq for peacekeeping perhaps for UN? Makes rank of Captain
June 1994-Henry retires from the military
July 1994-Henry works for NSA and is on assignment, so he’s working out of DC, and living at home, but is gone frequently (goes to the statement Elizabeth made about once they were married, only really seeing him for a week at a time and they had to learn to live with each other again when Stevie was a baby)
July 1994-Elizabeth becomes pregnant with Stevie
April 1995-Stevie is born
April 1995-June 1995 Elizabeth on maternity leave
June 1995-Henry quits NSA and starts his master’s followed by his doctorate. Henry stays at home when he can and Miss Janie nannies for them when Henry has to be at school (now for class and at some later point when he becomes a professor).
June 1998-Elizabeth pregnant with Allison
March 1999-Allison born, followed by maternity leave
September 2000-Elizabeth pregnant with Jason
May 2001-Jason is born, Elizabeth on maternity leave until August 2001
September 12, 2001-Elizabeth is present when Conrad makes his speech to the CIA in the aftermath of 9/11
Fall 2003-Elizabeth is sent to Iraq to interrogate members of Al-Qaeda that she has been gathering intelligence on. We don’t know how long she was stationed there, but I’m guessing 3-6 months.
March 2004-Elizabeth returns and writes report on the ineffectiveness of using torture (coaches Stevie’s soccer team)
March 2005-Dalton offers Elizabeth Station Chief job in Baghdad. Henry throws ultimatum and Elizabeth quits.
Summer 2005-Elizabeth starts her doctorate and she and Henry buy a horse farm and move out of DC
Fall 2005-Henry and Elizabeth are both teaching at UVA (she probably as an adjunct or assistant professor since she doesn’t have her doctorate yet)
Fall 2008 or 2009 Elizabeth finishes her doctorate and becomes full professor at UVA (at some point writes scathing article about Vesuvian and “for hire” armies)
Spring 2014-Vincent Marsh’s plane crashes and Conrad shows up at the horse farm to offer Elizabeth SOS
