I need people to stop saying ashleshas are girl’s girls because they are not lol none of the mercury nakshatras are but especially that one in particular. The way ashleshas are always gossiping about other women and accusing other women of being jealous of them is crazyyy. You give an ashlesha a well-deserved critique on something awful they said or did and they immediately start hissing about how “other women are so nasty and jealous of me because they know im better than them because im super pretty and seductive feline queen and theyre just blah in comparison” um MA’AM please sit down this is not middle school?? 😭

The truth is mercury just doesnt do well in feminine-only or masculine-only spaces because mercury is by nature the only true neuter planet. Even mercury nakshatra men struggle to maintain friendships with other men. And likewise mercury women struggle to maintain female connections. Mercury is always divisive and ostracized in same-polarized spaces. By nature, it needs opposition in polarity to succeed. I personally do not like being around Mercury nakshatra men or women and i am a mercury nakshatra myself (revati moon). They have always been very strugglesome and mean-spirited at the weirdest times and it’s hard to deal with it imo. They will start off warm and friendly then randomly become cold and ice you off for no reason, even if you’re trying to maintain a friendly connection and havent done anything bad to them to warrant that reaction. I noticed this even when I was younger and knew nothing about vedic astrology but it just became more glaringly obvious as I got older and more immersed in jyotish LOL.

The perpetual youth aspect of mercury is great for always maintaining a youthful spirit, developing skills in various interests through life, and youthful energy towards life and one’s goals in life; but its otherwise quite detrimental as Mercurials tend to have explosive, childlike egos where they taunt people easily and shamelessly and engage in infantile manipulation to get what they want out of others. It’s really not a coincidence how many mercury nakshatra people in mainstream media have stories around them about how mean-spirited and vindictive they can be and how they tend to “taunt” others they work with or in their social circles…thats their bread and butta 😭

To put it another way; Mercurials are like Liz Lemon in 30 Rock…she thought she was the poor bullied victim who was purposefully isolated by her more popular peers in youth….but as she got older she and everyone around her started pointing out how she was actually always the bully and mean-spirited, negative one who was always jealous of what someone else or did. And that that behavior naturally got her isolated for the obvious fact that it made people uncomfortable because they were always at the receiving end of her constant victimhood; she had low self-esteem and blamed it on everyone else, even when it wasnt always true.

Some people described Liz Lemon as having “selective self-awareness” and that is such an accurate description of Mercurials. We are very self-aware and critical of our own behaviors but very selective in what we are willing to admit fault to in acknowledging our behaviors. We can see and openly acknowledge when we are being nasty or mean-spirited but instead of just owning to that we try to victimize ourselves and place blame onto others. The enjoying of drama without and discourse without real rhyme and reason. Tbh this is the real reason a lot of mercurials do not have friends lmaooo.
