Stephen couldn’t believe where his life was right now. He was finally almost completely over what had happened with his ex, he was married to the love of his life, and now he had a brand new baby with her. Plus, his show was going great and Mavi was thriving. He couldn’t believe how good things were. It was easy to worry that it wasn’t going to stay that way, but he was trying to stay on the positive side. “Okay, I got the blankets all freshly free of baby puke. How is our little one doing?”

Everything had seemed like some crazy whirlwind. If you had asked her where she thought she could be two years ago, married with a kid was not the answer she would have given. Especially with Stephen. But she would not changed it for anything in the world. Emily was just finishing feeding their baby and gently rocking them to sleep. “Good. Hungry, all of the time. Most definitely my child.” Emily chuckled.

“What do I think it means?” Stephen asked, looking from Emily, down to the shirt and back to Emily. “I think that it means that you’re having a baby? We’re having a baby?” Stephen asked, looking at her hopefully. The two of them hadn’t talked about having kids yet, but of course Stephen wanted more kids and of course he wanted them with Emily. 

“I mean,” Emily began, standing up and pulling the pregnancy test out of her back pocket. “I am pretty positive about it.” She said, showing him the test and biting her lip. “I know we’ve not talked about kids and all but it just kind of happened and I didn’t know how you feel. How do you feel? Are you okay? Do you need to lie down? Do  I need to lie down?” She rambled, feeling slightly dizzy.

Stephen couldn’t believe what he was seeing right now. Emily was pregnant? He had to make sure he was reading this right. He looked over all the wonderful Valentine’s Day gifts again and definitely saw it right. He took the shirt in his hand and ran to find his wife somewhere in the house. When he found her, he went to her with a large smile on his face. “Does this mean what I think it means?” he asked, holding the shirt up to her.

Emily had left his bag of presents on the kitchen table for him t find. To say she was nervous was an understatement. Would he be happy? Stephen already had Mavi and she was unsure if he wanted more kids. Or if he wanted kids with her When she found out a couple days ago, she figured waiting until today would be the best option. “I don’t know.” She said. “What do you think it means?” She teased.
