I was watching the historic Coachella Performance given by Beyoncé earlier today and I could help notice that during her song transition she decided to include an excerpt from the accurate and important speech given in 1962 by Malcolm X during the funeral of Ronald Stokes.

Malcolm X stated, “The most disrespected woman in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.”

ishellee: Full circle moments are the greatest. ✨ I remember being on set for @michellewilliams music video “heard a word” playing the part of a little girl in the park on the swing. Next thing you know @beyonce stops by and I literally ran and hugged her like she was my mother lol she cracked up! Idk if the director even said cut HAHA!!! Now I’m dancing with her doing choreography I use to do in my living room as a kid!!! Y’all God is real!!!
