Yes, it would and I'm not saying do that. I'm saying that's what the community isused to now because that is what most use or something similar. 1000 words to me is long for a sample para but not unattainable. I think if you made it 500-700 some people still might join. Sadly the community is lazy and most like to do simple things like I showed you. I'm not one of those. I left the community because it had become awful and I decided to return because I'm bored. But no rpg has caught my interest due to them all being like that. So I don't mind a para sample. I will say that I'm litterate but I do make mistakes so don't expect my para to be perfect. Few write perfectly in today's world.  And I don't mind hangouts, I never have used it or seen how it works but most don't like outside messengers. Most prefer to hide in DMs and para. Although some groups are making that against the rules and saying it has to be on the dash now.

As I already said, only a few people get to automatically come over. Those are people who are active, have decent secrets, write often, communicate with others often and aren’t under suspicion of being one person handling 20 characters.

Figured I'd post that one because that app is a perfect example of what I DON'T want. That was a submission from someone complaining about my making a detailed application and recommending people use Hangouts.

That's so easy for our serial rolehogger to go through to get 10 characters in. That's the whole reason I'm making the app harder, because I'm tired of my group being made boring and shitty by one person playing too many people.

Most would be pratically every rpg group in existence except the discord group which is not much of a group. You join it and instead of interacting and paraing, everyone stays in ooc chat and talks about people in the community. Their ooc chat is hate about people they had problems with in the wrestling community or other fandoms. The rest of the rpgs use the DM's to interact and para. All three para on dash now.

A thousand words is a lot whether you know your character or not if it's a sample para. This is what applications look like in almost every wrestling rpg.

That is what people are expecting when they go to join groups now. Personally, I think sample paras help because you get an idea how they write their character. No, not everyone will be the best at grammar but as long as it's understandable I don't care. Grammar can be taught and helped. This isn't school or a job so if someone isn't that great than fine but at least you have an idea how they think and write. 

Anyway, I would love to join if the applications is reasonable. And see how the sideblogs works because I have only been on one that used those and noone used them like they should have and the group closed.

I don't wanna hear that 1000 words is a lot for one person to write when I've just written 700 words of rules for the new group in 15 mins and I'm not even done yet 😂

Again, person in the inbox, I appreciate your input but I'm not interested in sweeping generalisations where you talk about "most" people and "most" groups without backing it up with sources.

I've been roleplaying for years and every group I've ever been a part of has used outside sources for communications. When it existed, it used to be AIM. Now it's Hangouts. Maybe the wrestling rp community hasn't seen that before, but I've always had that in other communities and it's worked well. Maybe that's why the wrestling community is so toxic and dying :)

1000 words is not a lot at all. If you're into your character and KNOW who they are, it can take less than half an hour.

To the essay in the inbox, I appreciate your opinion but don't agree 100% with it. I don't care what hate blogs say. People who use those things have way too much time on their hands and are pretty pathetic.

Hangouts isn't ostracising anyone. I've invited everyone to be a part of the group chat there because it's easier for communication and chatting than logging in and out of accounts here. Those of us who use it have a lot of fun, both IC and OOC. Those who don't are missing out. It's a good way to get to know each other better.

What separates us from other groups is that we have an OOC community too, have made friends through this group and take interest in each other's lives.

Not every single piece of communication has to be on dash, just like nobody sees everything everyone says in real life.

I'm not making a page and listing secrets. I've been over this before. It's just not happening.

The app isn't hard at all. A para sample and a secret isn't too much to ask. If people aren't willing to write that in an app then they can go join somewhere else that doesn't require it. There are plenty of other groups to choose from.

When I’m getting messages like this, something has to change.

Dez was obviously lying about not playing Sammy, since he reblogged a post from his Dez account that was meant from Sammy and then tried to cover it up with an excuse that didn’t make sense.

Dez and Seth were handled by the same person. Sammy and AJ were handed by the same person. So, that means all 4 were played by the same person and since they lied about it, they got released.

Send all the shitty anons you want. It has nothing to do with bringing in friends. Why would I want a group consisting of only my friends when we all use Google Hangouts and could do that there and have it be much easier?

It’s everything to do with wanting to remove the toxic people (or person) who have been plaguing this group for almost 2 damn years. I’m sick of it.

This group will be closing and another will be opening and those who I don’t have evidence of being a real person will have to reapply, and the app is going to be more strict than the current one. I have several here on social media or I’ve seen pictures of them or both - they’re safe. Everyone else who claims to be a different person will have to reapply and if the name they use on the app isn’t the same as the one they used here…. Well, they’re shit outta luck.

The new group will require more in terms of activity and writing because I’ve had enough of rolehoggers.
