If a dog pulls on the leash just stop and stand there

that’s it that’s the trick you become a seat belt it works real fast. Start walking again if they stop pulling & even better if you wait until they look at you first (sometimes u might have to call them back to stop pulling if they are a bit dumb)

wow ok since this seemed to help people here’s my trick for getting dogs calm before we leave the house (this also works for crates and cars it’s pretty common)

I crack open the door a little and when they charge it, I shut the door. I am become video game. Butt on floor opens the door. I have them sit and then slowly open the door again. Get up? Door shuts. Sit down? Door slowly opens. After they’ve been sitting and the door is all the way open and they’re looking at me, okay we go outside.

Works fast and is so gentle and it’s really letting them be in control. If they want to go outside all they gotta do to open the door is to sit. Consistency is 99% of it
