BREAKING NEWS: Officer Bogard's Disappearance By: Emma McBuggle Tearzz Posted: Aug. 10, 2026

In the last couple of weeks in July last month, Marine Officer and right-hand man to Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp ( @notgarptthefist-offical ), Bogard ( @bogard-official ), was deemed missing after leaving on a solo mission. The mission in question concerns the last few posts he made on his Snailblr Blog before disappearing, with one on July 24 being a response to an ask from an Anon that reads:

"Hey Bogard, do you want the coordinates to the rev's new air fryer so you can blow that one up too?"

Bogard responds:

"Yes. Please send this immediately. I will drop all my workload for this right now."

The silence that followed had left many to speculate where he had gone, and what the significance of the air fryer was. Further research indicates ties to the Revolutionary Army. Seeing as both the Marines and the Revolutionary Army have Snailblr accounts, it was only a matter of time before they crossed paths online and clash over politics and minor disputes. One of these disputes included air fryers.

A few days prior to Bogard's post, the Revolutionary Army's Chief of Staff, Sabo ( @sabo-offical ) answered an ask sent by "Bad News" Anon that notified him about his beloved air fryer exploding. Sabo, who has been a well known air fryer enthusiast on his blog, making many posts and answering many asks about them, was predictably devastated by the news with the proceeding posts broadcasting his despair and grief over his air fryer's untimely demise. The culprit to the explosion? In that same post where Sabo responded to "Bad News" Anon, Officer Bogard left a comment that simply read:

"Mission success. 💥."

Sabo responds back with his text all capitalized, upset at Officer Bogard. But besides this minor exchange, and a couple other mentions in later posts made by Sabo on the topic, nothing else could be said for certain on the matter, and what role the Revolutionary Army could play in Officer Bogard's disappearance.

On July 25, 2026, a member of the Revolutionary Army sent an Anonymous ask to their leader Monkey D. Dragon ( @chief-commander ) informing him of a Marine's intrusion into the base, stating:

"Hey Chief, I may have let a marine into the base, BUT! He plans on destroying the air fryer! He did it once; he'll do it again! So, please let this slide one time, pleaseeeee"

Dragon responds:

"No. Air fryer or not, what you have committed is treason. @sabo-offical, hunt down this traitor if you would please. Before I do it myself."

The reblog chain continues, with Sabo tagging Officer Bogard specifically, calling him out to show himself and Bogard responding:

"Believe it or not, your task was to focus on hunting the traitor down, not me. Focus, kid! Do your job right!"

This would be the last post on Officer Bogard's blog before everything went silent.

Tensions were rising and word was spreading around quickly, including claims that Bogard had gotten captured by the Revolutionary Army. Asks were sent to both Sabo and Revolutionary Army Officer Koala ( @koala-official ) asking about Bogards rumored capture with Sabo stating:

"mayyybbeee........... dont tell the marines...shhhhh......"

And Koala responding to an accusation from Helmeppo with:

"We aren’t planning on letting him go, that’s all you need to know."

This claim was solidified by an ask Dragon answered on the 29th that read:

"Do you feel anything for having captured Bogard? He mentioned your dad for a moment, you must’ve known him when you were younger. Is it weird knowing you have history but are now in this position?"

Dragon responds:

"He made his choice. He knew I was here, yet he came anyway. Perhaps it was hubris — the last time we had seen each other was a long time ago. Perhaps the image he had in his head of me was outdated and for once his reason left him. It matters not. The outcome is still the same. There is nothing more to it."

This only sparked more excitement with the public, unsurprising with the position and influence Bogard has in the Marines.

Actions were taken to calm the commotion. On July 29, 2026, a popular news station owned by the Marines put out a post with claims stating:

"THE REVOLUTIONARIES ARE STARTING PROPAGANDA," and, "ONE OF OUR MARINES ARE NOT MISSING DON'T LET ANYONE TELL THEM OTHERWISE."

while continuously pleading for trust from the public. This didn't do much to quell curiosity, in fact, it may have even aided in bringing more attention to the topic. Unfortunately, it's difficult to get clear answers when the Revolutionary Army is infamously private and keeps to themselves. Difficult, but not impossible. The rest of this article will focus on, and use any public information available as well as transcripts from tips received from reliable sources.

According to insider information, Bogard is currently being held in the Revolutionary Army's cells in their base since as far back as July 28th, he has been allowed to use a snail, but only while being monitored by Dragon himself, or another trusted high rank person. Four people have visited his cell so far, including Dragon, the other three were there to deliver food or to speak to him personally. Considering Bogard has close ties to Garp and other powerful Marine officials Dragon was previously affiliated with, strict measures were taken when it came to his imprisonment. He is allowed basic necessities, but is otherwise confined to his cell.

The Revolutionary Army doesn't plan on letting Bogard go anytime soon, and it is currently unknown as to how they'll leverage his capture in the future.

The Marines haven't made any huge announcements in regard to Bogard, as they have also been preoccupied handling matters with the infamous pirate Monkey D. Luffy among others. Resources have been spread thin, and they've had to resort to placing priority on threats like Luffy above all else.

However efforts have been made by Lieutenant Commander Helmeppo ( @kukribrat ) to try and get in contact with the man. His prodding and questioning towards Sabo and Koala may have influenced Koala to make a post on July 30th, Koala made a post stating plainly:

"Those marines would be wise to stay away from here."

A few hours after making that post, Koala would send a letter to the Marine base addressed to Helmeppo, sending word from Bogard himself assuring the Marines about well being and to not come to get him.

"Bogard asked me to tell you that he is fine, and you shouldn't come. Do with that what you will."

As of today, no new updates have been made from the situation. Bogard is being held capture by the Revolutionary Army, and has assured his comrades of his safety. The Marines are working towards getting him free, but have been occupied by other matters that have kept them exceptionally busy. We will continue to keep an eye out for any new developments in this story, and we will keep you updated.

I haven’t been able to not only identify the sender, but their motives as well. We suspect there may be two parties competing in my letter box. But they use the same smudged signature.

And regarding the letter itself, I haven’t received any knowledge let along an alert about the marines/U.M.A starting up a forced drafting program to those 18 and up.

What sort of letters do you usually receive from the U.M.A.?

Ah. Well. I can only talk to other marine officials about the letters that I receive through the U.M.A or any other marine department. Anyone out side of being a marine or U.MA I unfortunately can’t just go and tell.

But if you really wanna know, they’re either just announcements or personal. That’s about it.

Yeah, this is the first I've heard of it. Haven't heard anything about mysterious letters from my other informants, but I've been keeping track of this.
