He chuckled and shook his head before putting his arm on her shoulder. “I’m only teasing; don’t get your panties in a twist.” He said as he took his arm away from her shoulder. “It’s in the past, I get that. And you want to forget it, I’m not going to give you shit for it.” He gave her a warming smile so she knew he was telling the truth.

Raina exhaled a long breath before smiling again at Hobbs. At least he let it go a lot sooner than a lot of people would have. “I’m just used to everyone giving me shit for it,” she admitted, “it’s kind of a defense tactic for me. God, I wish I could just erase everything that happened that long ago… ugh.”

“Yeah but that’s life, the people that can’t let it go are just obviously obsessed with your life.” He chuckled softly and nodded. “If I know Letty, I’m sure she’s let go of whatever thing you had for Toretto in the past. She’s not one to have a continuous hate for someone that happened a long time ago.”

He didn’t believe her but decided to let it go, if Mia wanted to talk about whatever was bothering her she would in her own time. “These?” He motioned to the papers. “I was just dropping them to Brian; someone else could’ve came but I decided I hadn’t you guys in a bit so I popped round to say hi.” He lashed a grin.

“Well, it’s really good to see you, Hobbs.  I’m glad you did stop by.  I can give those to Brian when he gets in.  Did you want to come inside?  I just put Jack down for his nap.”

He nodded with a soft grin as he handed the papers to Mia. “Sure, I have some time to kill.” He followed Mia inside and looked around. “This place is real homie, you and Brian like this part of the neighborhood? Everyone being friendly?” He smiled as he sees some family photos on the wall.

He looked over towards her, knowing what she meant and he was okay with her not finishing the sentence. He turned his direction down to his feet with a slight nod. “Are you sure you’re alright driving if you almost had a panic attack last week?” He asked now wondering at how much a lot of what’s happened in the past is still messing in her mind.

“As long as other rule breaking assholes like myself take a day off, I’ll be fine.”  She gave him a slight smile. “Besides, you can take over the wheel if I suddenly can’t breathe.” She nodded a bit, she turned into the parking lot, cruising the spaces until she found she liked and slid into it.

He nodded in agreement as she finally pulled a park, he let out a slight smile as he stepped out from the vehicle. “Finally, let’s go see what this ‘Unfriended’ movie thing is about.” He glanced over at Lyric as they walked towards the ticket booth. “Do you have any idea what this movie’s about?”

A small smirk started crawling on his lips as he shook his head in disbelief. “No…No, really? You had a crush on Toretto? Wow.” He chuckles to himself as he looks back at her. “Just when you thought you knew someone. What was it? His bad boy look?”

“Oh my god,” Raina said with a dramatic eye roll. She shoved Hobbs a little with an embarrassed scowl. “Let’s not even go there. It was a lifetime ago, and anyway, everything’s changed.” She narrowed her eyes in his direction. “Don’t give me that look, Hobbs. Ugh… I should never have told you, you’ll never let me live it down.”

He frowned slightly afraid of that admittance was right. “Well, not doin’ drugs is the best choice you ever make. That shit will fuck you up.” He had a past, not a bright one, but he never told anyone about it; especially not Lyric. He was already a shitty role model for a father, she doesn’t need to add more shitty things on the list about that. He nods his head in approval for the lights. “Have you been chased by many in your time in the races?” He looked over at her with a slight grin.

“So I’ve seen.” She hummed, eyes casting towards the light as it finally turned green. “Thank bob.” She muttered, tilting her head. “Um…Not really…” She hesitated. “It was um…the last thing I saw before I blacked out…” During the shooting. She knew she didn’t have to finish it aloud. It hurt both of them to talk about it anyway. “Almost had a panic attack last week while driving.”

I just watched the first part like ten times in a row, just to watch Jared fucking WRITHE.

Hobbs had come round with some papers for Brian but was greeted by Mia who wasn’t really herself. “Are you alright?” He asked concerned at the state he saw the woman.

Mia was surprised to see Hobbs on her doorstep.  She noticed the papers in his hands.  “I’m fine, thank you.” She gave him a small smile and looked down at the papers.  “What are those?” She asked.

He didn’t believe her but decided to let it go, if Mia wanted to talk about whatever was bothering her she would in her own time. “These?” He motioned to the papers. “I was just dropping them to Brian; someone else could’ve came but I decided I hadn’t you guys in a bit so I popped round to say hi.” He lashed a grin.

“Ah that’s what you did, at least it was movies and not the wrong crowd.” He chuckled before glancing over at her. He had a suspission she was in with the wrong crowd a few times, especially with the attitude but he just assumed it it was just his absence after her mother passing. “I just don’t think the street lights like you. If you really wanted to get passed these red lights, just push this button.” He pointed to a red button on the dash.

“Oh don’t worry. I did that too.” She easily admitted with a shrug, “Parties. You name it. I did it.” She thought for a moment, “’cept drugs…never my thing.” She frowned, giving her head a shake. “Oh no…I’m not turning the lights on. They freak me out.” She shook her head again, “I’ll just hit every light along the way.”

“Old is anything beyond my age. You’re old.” She cocked her head a bit, crinkling her nose as she hit another red light. “Things must be fucking out to get me.” she grumbled, “Oh, I’m no movie queen. I got bored at home so I went to movies a lot.”

Like bruising or scratch marks?” He looked down at her with a shake of his head. “I can get people out of a lot of shit if they cooperate.” He reminded her which will hopefully get her to tell him what really happened.

Emily rolled her eyes, rising up her sleeve she showed him the bruise she had on her left upper arm. Then, she stood up and raised her shirt a little, another bruise on her hip. She then took a seat and crossed her legs. “There’s your evidence.” She spoke relaxed as she nodded with eyebrows raised, “Right.” She said.  She noticed that he still wanted more answers, she just shrugged and said, “What? I told you everything.”

He looked at the bruises and then looked at her. “Look, I’m honestly trying to help you here but if you don’t want my help, that’s all you have to say and you can get some other cop who won’t be as generous.” He wanted to help but if she didn’t want it, he couldn’t do anything about it.

He returned the hug with both arms wrapping around the youngest of the Torettos. “Okay okay, let’s make a deal, I don’t give you a ticket and I won’t tell your brother as long as you don’t treat my lights as a runaway sign.” He chuckles at the last part knowing that it’ll most likely happen again.

“I don’t believe those dimples for a second.” He chuckled as he patted her back and looked around the open streets and cocked a brow at her. “I’ll race ya to Starbucks, get a coffee, catch up. Loser buys?” He narrowed his eyes with a smirk. He was bored and wanted a bit of fun; he’d never been in a race minus the chasing of the bad guys but he was keen to see what the thrill was about.

“Uhm yeah but I need to talk to you about something first.” She stated. “Come on,let’s talk in my car.” She gestured for him to follow. “Listen someone is after us.” She confessed shutting the door to her Dodge Charger as she sat in. “After me and after my family.”

He looked at her with a serious facial expression as he stepped into the car. “Do you know who? Tell me everything you know about this person.” He frowns hating the fact they can never actually be free.

He wrapped one arm around her, returning the gentle hug. “I don’t think money will be an issue with you and the street wars.” He chuckled. “I know you can ride and if your sister knew about this, she’d probably be winning the races only to give you the money.” He gave her grin as she stepped outside of the car. “I’ll give that side of town and hopefully get somewhere.”

“Yeah, but I don’t need her to win for me. I want Letty to win just to beat some ass,” she laughed before he mentioned he’d go around that side of town. “Well, have a fun night and hopefully you get the action you need,” she stated, waving as she started walking to her apartment.

“Your sister sure does plenty of that.” He chuckled as he gave her a small nod and a wave. “I will, you stay out of trouble Ortiz.” He called as he went off down the street.

He narrowed his eyes down at her, he knows her past, he knows what she’s capable of and knows she has a history of squirming out of things. Which is why he got her file on his desk. “Nice try, sweetheart. But you can’t get past me that easily. How about you start telling me exactly what happened?”

She was the artist in the family; she got it from her grandmother. “You were always a little artist.” He chuckled. “Still into the older music or into the new hip-pop stuff?” He wasn’t sure how to talk in ‘cool’ terms. “I haven’t seen many movies in a while, last movie I watched was 2 years ago when I got asked by a coworker. Other than that, I wouldn’t of watched a movie since early 90′s.” He nodded awkwardly because he hadn’t seen a movie since her mother died on their date nights.

“Well, if the badass’ come near you, Dom or the rest of the crew, I’ll be by Toretto’s side ready to kick ass.” Hobbs lets a chuckle escape his mouth. He knows all they ever want is freedom, they’ve been running from the law for god knows how long now and just recently they were broken from that. Now, people seem to continue following them home just for a stupid vendetter. “Of course, I’ll let you know if the spots get filled or not. It’ll be a pleasure showing up at your moment of accomplishing that.” He slowly put on the breaks as he rolled into her driveway.

“It’s always nice to know you always have muscles at your side,” she joked softly, as she just slowly watched as they passed the houses. If anything, Angel could depend on the rest of the crew and Hobbs if anything every went haywire. “Now all I have to worry about is getting the money and hitting the books again,” she said, with a smile before he pulled into her driveway. Picking her stuff up at her feet, she just gave him a slight hug “Thanks again for the ride,” as she opened the door. Stepping out, she just shut the door behind her gently and waved. “Maybe if you want some action you should try getting into the gritty parts of L.A,” she suggested, knowing he was looking for some sort of action to keep busy.
