July 2023: Removing the Soviet hammer and sickle from Mother Ukraine in Kyiv.
The decision to remove the symbol came after russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
"This is a historic event like never before. Our Ukraine has always existed and will continue to exist—more than ever. And we will sweep away all that rubbish of theirs." - Valeriy (fitter)
Oleksandr Onufriiev is the Ukrainian pole vault champion with a result of 5.60m.
Large-scale rallies are taking place in various cities across Ukraine following the resignation of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Tonight, russians murdered 11, injured 46 civilians in Kyiv
The russian army pounded residential buildings in Kyiv with missiles and drones all night. According to the State Emergency Service, at least 15 residential buildings were damaged or destroyed.
The most damaged was a high-rise building in the Podilskyi district, where five floors collapsed (from the 9th to the 5th). Rescuers are still searching for people under the rubble.
‼️In Sumy, 4 people were killed, including a child, and 27 people were injured, including 7 children, as a result of a Russian air bomb strike.
The strike was carried out on one of the central streets of the city.
Medics tried to save a 5-year-old girl at the site of the Russian strike. Resuscitation measures were unsuccessful - the child died.
Her mother, a 34-year-old woman, died next to her. The woman's eldest daughter is also in the hospital. Her injuries are moderate.
Rescuers helped transport the injured to emergency medical vehicles, evacuated people and conducted search operations in destroyed apartments.
The impact site was cleared of debris and fallen trees. 5 people were rescued from the damaged apartments. A psychologist from the State Emergency Service also worked.
Just saw a russian artist's commission info saying: payment only through Boosty due to the situation in my country.
The "situation" is your country committing genocide against Ukraine.
You can't even be honest on your own Tumblr page. And your clients might end up funding, through the taxes you pay with their money or through your own donations to your country's army (because some westerners quickly forget that a person can actually support their country's actions, especially when they phrase things like this), the continued killing of ukrainians.
For God's sake, at least ask about the political views of a russian artist before commissioning them. If you're from Europe or the US, you're literally paying someone whose country is at war with yours too.
"The death toll in Kyiv rises to 31, according to the State Emergency Service. The Russian attack on the capital overnight targeted residential areas, apartment blocks and civilian infrastructure. During the massive overnight Russian attack, a record 52,500 people, including nearly 4,500 children, took shelter in the Kyiv metro."
