just some thoughts i had when i was showing this poem to a friend!! definitely not a detailed or particularly nuanced reading bc i did this as a break frm studying, but just thought i’d share bc when i first read this poem 2 years ago, i didn’t pick up on the desperation or futility 🥲🥲 also this is a local poet!! so that’s cool
