Few things sickened Langris as did the thought of his older brother being considered better than him at anything. Studies, extracurricular activities, magic… it didn’t matter. He knew that he was the best and refused to accept losing to that guy. That was why it had really rubbed him the wrong way when word reached him that Finral was seeing someone.

Langris’ curiosity got the better of him and he actually checked up on the situation. Not himself, of course, but through others and careful information gathering. What he discovered was shocking to say the least. Not only was his idiot brother dating a man, which wasn’t expected considering how he usually chased after women, but the guy was a lowly commoner.

Leave it to Finral to have such deplorable taste. It was like he was trying to bring as much shame as possible to their family name as he could while he dragged it through the mud. This was unacceptable. Langris wouldn’t have it. He’d put an end to this mess once and for all, whether Finral liked it or not.

Summary:

Vanessa looked from him and down his line of sight to see what was so interesting. She hummed then nudged him with her elbow and teased, “So maybe you don’t like girls at all. Is all your flirting just for show?”

That comment knocked Finral right out of his own head and he shrieked, “Of course I like girls!”

“You’re staring awfully hard at that guy over there~” Vanessa pointed out in a singsong voice as she batted her eyes at him.

“He just… I think I know him. From when we were kids.” Finral explained. His cheeks continued to burn as he muttered, “He’s changed a lot though if it’s the boy I once knew…”

“Haven’t we all? You should go talk to him.” Vanessa had switched gears now. No longer teasing but encouraging him to go start a conversation.

That was exactly what Finral didn’t need. His and Zora’s last encounter replayed in his head. The memory was as vivid as the day it happened. Pain from what was almost a decade ago still felt as fresh as ever. His gut twisted violently, and he was pretty sure he’d throw up if he even considered doing what she said.

- So basically a kid at the church in Hage had a lisp and kept calling Asta “Pasta” so when everyone finds out he actually does respond to “Pasta” they keep calling him that for a month while making dumb jokes about it constantly XD

Charlotte had the worst luck. Of course she’d gotten a cold and had to miss the day when groups were assigned for an upcoming project. Naturally that meant all the decent students were already paired off and she was left with the scraps. She really wished said scraps had been anyone but him. Fate was cruel indeed.

Yami Sukehiro. The brutish guy who probably hadn’t ever sat in a chair properly a day in his life and smoked more than a chimney. Rules were only a suggestion as far as he was concerned an he’d let anyone know. A bulky man that only seemed to own white tank tops. At least Charlotte had never seen him wear anything else before. Not that those tanks were an issue as they displayed his rather nice arm muscles for all the world to see.

Yes, Charlotte noticed. She also saw that plenty of others noticed too. Yami turned heads no matter where he went. He didn’t seem to care either way. It was so embarrassing to have a crush on that man. She really thought she’d have better taste in guys. There was just something about his unapologetic masculinity and ‘don’t care’ attitude that she found herself drawn to. Like every other common, boring woman out there. She held herself to a higher standard than that, which was why she’d never let it show.

She didn’t even bother to look up from the textbook in front of her when she heard a chair scrape across the ground. Her tone was as sharp as a knife when she snapped, “You’re late.”

“Got a little lost. Normally I go off campus for lunch dates.”

Charlotte stiffened. A date? Of all the ridiculous notions! She frowned and refused to acknowledge the way her cheeks burned at the mere suggestion. She regained her composure then finally explained, “The cafeteria tables are larger than the lounge area ones, meaning we can have more study materials out. This isn’t a lunch date.”

“Whatever you say, prickly queen.”

Charlotte looked up from her book when she heard a tap-tap followed by the sound of the spark of a lighter. This guy really didn’t care about the rules at all. If it was a date he’d probably sweep her off her feet and take her somewhere illegal. She ignored the way that thought made her gut twist. Her voice was as deadpan as the expression on her face when she said, “You can’t smoke here.”

“Who’s gonna stop me? You?” Yami kept his eyes on her but turned his head to the side and exhale the smoke.

I guess it also counts for the modern one. But I just wanted to get something in for another day other than day one.

For @black-clover-week I got mimosa and noelle in some clothes a college person would wear. Was originally gonna be only mimosa but I can't draw one without the other ùwú.
