What tools do you need as a beginner witch?
💚 Divination Tool
Tarot cards, pendulum, bibliomamcy, oujia board, runes, tea leaves reading and more.
No everyone uses divination in their craft, however for you as a beginner it's good to see how it works because maybe you will find it useful and enjoyable.
Why is it useful?
Divination helps you understand yourself or/and see a situation for different perspective, and it helps you communicate with spirit guides (and many more). It's always a good idea to ask about the spell you want to perform to make sure it's safe and working.
💚 Cleansing Tool
Smoke clearing, incense, palo santo, water spray with essential oils, cleansing music, salt, meditation, crystals and more.
As you begin to sense different energies you will notice the bad ones lingering in your space or even on you. They might disturb your spell working or even well-being to some degree (please remember, mental health issues should always be consulted with a qualified person).
Why is it useful?
It's important to cleanse your space, especially before and after you perform a spell or invite a new energy in or simply when you come home after being in the crowded place. It removes all the unwanted energy and places the one that you want your space or yourself to have.
💚 Protection Tool
Salt, pentagram, meditation, crystals, candles, sigils, spirit guides (they're not tools but they can provide you a protection if you ask for it) and more.
No matter what you do in witchcraft always look after yourself, keep yourself safe at all times and protect yourself.
Why is it useful?
I'm not saying witchcraft is dangerous, it's not in most situations but it might be in some. There are many spirits, energies or even other witches that are set to bring some kind of harm. You need to be aware of it but not anxious. Protect yourself, that's all it takes to be sleeping peacefully and begin confident in your carft.
💚 Candle
Wax candle, birthday candle, battery candle, phone app candle and more.
I think most witches are using candles, they have so many uses in different areas of witchcraft and spellworking, and are so pretty!
As you progress you will see that different candle colours have different purposes but for now it's perfectly fine to use white candle, it can work as a substitution for any other colour.
Why is it useful?
The most commonly used in spells, it helps you to set an intention, bring light to your spell and invite the spirits to aid you with their power. You can even perform a spell just with a candle.

Remember the quality and price of your equipment doesn't define you or your practice. It's a craft so get creative!
Printed or self drawn tarot cards? Dope. Old candle found at the bottom of the drawer? Dope. Random rock collected in the forest? Dope. Spice herb from kitchen's cabinet? Dope.
Intention and your energy put into the object counts not the look of it. The prettiest witchy thing is worth nothing for your craft without your intention put in it.
It's amazing if you can do it yourself just remember when it comes to taking stuff from the nature, bring something for exchange or simply ask for the permission to take it and thank for it. Take only what you need. It's what I believe in so if you don't feel this way then do it your own way, you know what works for you. But always, no matter what respect nature and don't destroy it. We work with nature, not against it.
What I mentioned in this post is a very broad description of these tools, each one of them have much more to offer and there so many more ways of doing each thing. Witchcraft is has also much more to offer, what I said here is barely a start. Do your own research on what interests you, listen to your intuition and most importantly enjoy your craft! ✨
Saving for later ❤
