        She wasn’t sure why, but the notion caught Wasp quite off guard. “That’s rather… Sad,” she replied, simply. Her tone remaining the same, only losing a bit of it’s original intrigue in favor of the regretful notion.

        Because, that’s what it was. To her, being a guardian had always been about serving and protecting, no matter who it was who needed serving. Even an ex-baron, come to terms with the humans, though he had no obligation to. Yet, many didn’t seem to agree. Many seemed to still regard him with as much regret and aggression as any other Fallen, coming for their throat.

        Granted, he still could. But, he was innocent until proven otherwise.

    “Perhaps,” Wasp replies. Gives a small shrug, going along with the notion. Eyes rather curiously watching his hands work around his weapon. She’s never had a chance to look at an Eliksni this close, after all; it was an intriguing sight. “But, I never did think the opinion of many should phase how I feel about a subject. Let everyone form their own opinion,” she pauses. Breathes out a chuckle, lips twisting into a bit of a smile. Smirk, almost. “—Even if it’s the wrong opinion.”

the sound of a rolling, growling laugh seems to come from his throat upon hearing her words. he will even glance over at the robotic Thief for a moment, seeming to study her briefly before returning to his duties of cleaning his rifle. there was no swaying her, he supposed. the sound of a dwindling growl rumbles behind that obscuring facemask, his bright eyes taking a sort of lid to them as he speaks.

‘ sha’ irrr is brave. foolish. ‘ he mutters, but there is a slight humor hidden in those husky words. there was no swaying the Thief, && that was just how it was going to be.

the company was pleasant, at least. not many approached him with friendly intent.

‘ what is the --- rrrrhhhh --- metal one’s name? ‘ the insectlike chittering && snarling permeating his sentence as that thick Eliksni accent filters through, && she could hear the slight mirth in his words. ‘ if she is to be pestering Khorrrrvis --- she will give name, yes? ‘

        Huh. That’s actually a good philosophical question for another day. Why does she bow. For her, it’s about showing respect; a silent, wordless ‘you and I are equal’. Perhaps almost a courtesy granted to her brothers in arms. I’d take a bullet for you. I live, I die, I live again.

        But, it occurs to her she doesn’t know much about the Eliksni ways. Perhaps it means something entirely different for them. Either way, Wasp would be glad to figure all the quirks out, should he let her. She, after all, has never been as harsh as some to pass judgement. The Fallen had as much of a right to life as anyone else; certainly more than the Vex. So…

        She was eager to learn.

    “For respect,” she decides on an answer. On another note; she’s never realized the Eliksni have such pleasing voices. Then again, she’s never met one who wasn’t screaming at her before. The more you learn. “Showing respect is important when meeting someone new. Certainly someone whose kind has had a lot of struggles with mine. And, thus far - I see no reason why you shouldn’t have mine.”

glittering blue eyes watch her as she moves, rather amused at how persistent this Thief was in being so... KIND. most of the humans and other around this little settlement gave him his space, if not outright avoided him --- yet here she was, speaking to him with such courtesy that he may have just believed that maybe he was BARON once more.

tilting his head upwards as if to slyly give the Machine a glance from the corner of his eye(s), Khorrvis feels a rumbling in his throat that rises from his chest, muffled only slightly from his filtration mask. a laugh, although quiet and alien in nature, but a laugh nonetheless.

‘ resssspect. Khorrvis has not felt this, not for very long time. ‘ his voice is indicative that his perception was changing on her. coming to see her as a rather charming individual, however odd. returning his gaze towards the gun he was currently reassembling, his secondary set of arms return to their tinkering with a skill that mastered even some of the most GRIZZLED of Thieves. the primaries hold the gun in place, the impressive muscles giving the slightest flex with every other movement beneath his dark, intimidating armor.

‘ many she’ lot do not sssshare her views. she finds hersssself alone, thinking this? ‘

Khorrvis’ English nearly as good as Variks, but he makes the similar noises that he does as he speaks. This makes people rather unnerved in his presence.

the arms wrapping around his form causes a rather bewildered ( albeit short-lived ) growl to come from his throat, glancing down at the head that presses to an armored chest. what was it with these Thieves? was this some sort of greeting? Khorrvis had so much to learn about their ways, && he would have to learn fast at this point.

gingerly, the claws of secondary arms will hover before settling onto the smaller being’s shoulders while he glances towards staring bystanders. not everyone felt like this was such a good idea, && some even watched to see what the towering Fallen would do.

with movements that one could almost describe as ‘ awkward ‘ ; the EX-BARON rolls his head about his shoulders with a chittering growl, the ruff of fur rustling about as he speaks.

  The Coyote’s arms unfold, kneeling back down to the surface of the cave, picking up his helmet & placing back over his scarred features. His hands rest at his sides as he’s prepared to follow Khorrvis, to presumably what he had originally intended to travel deeply down into this cave for, the remaining presence of his  fireteam  family.

  “ Of course. “ Red answers shortly, quick on the step to at lest have a decent pace with the Ex-baron.

  Not once was the Coyote has ever been met with an Eliksni that didn’t want to murder him ( ignoring the fact that he had trespassed onto his land unknowingly ) on sight, instead, they seemed to be docile, neutral, the English they spoke was about as good as his when he was first resurrected.

it was odd to him as well, to have this Thief act so... oddly COURTEOUS to him. he’d turned his back, yet no biting bullets nor sharpened blade found itself buried within it. the former Baron was very much used to distrustful && vicious Thieves, but the ones that confused him the most was these type. the ones that almost treated him with careful appreciation, with curiosity rather than hostility.

he knew how to handle aggression. but how did he begin to understand this?

raising an arm to push aside the draped, ragged fabrics that lead them further into the cave, those four bright eyes will glance over an armored shoulder to make sure the smaller man made it through to the darker space. 

his eyes glowed brightly in the dim space, the dark allowing him to see much better than out in the blinding sun.

    “Oh - yes, it’s a compliment. Or, more like, I’m pleased.”

        Ah, it hits her, just then - how that must’ve sounded. Which, she didn’t mean for it to (the fallen were no better or worse than her kind, after all; not really) but she wasn’t going to make excuses for it. Words meant very little when there was so much bad blood between your people. Actions were worth more than talk.

    “Khorrvis - that’s your name, yes?” She offers a small nod of acknowledgement. A small bow. Lord - she couldn’t recall the last time she, a Titan, had felt this small next to someone. “I’m often called Wasp. It’s good to meet you.”         Baby steps.

the BOW hasn’t gone unnoticed --- it makes the EX-BARON stop what he’s doing for just a moment, glancing down at the Thief as she lowers herself in a display of servitude. he can’t help himself, eyes glittering as a quiet, growling chuckle leaves his throat. in his brief time assisting these humans here in this refuge, he’s found their personalities seem to split between two types ;; utter hatred that borders on VIOLENCE, && odd, almost childlike INTRIGUE.

these THIEVES were so amusing.

returning his gaze to his rifle, claws resume their cleaning && dismantling. stranger things had happened on this ‘ Farm ‘, && at least this woman was being COURTEOUS.

‘ Why does sha’ ir bow to Khorrvis? ‘ he growls quietly, though his tone seems to hold a hint of mirth, should she listen close enough, even as he will speak his native tongue.

it wasn’t much of a surprise, coming from this odd Thief. he kept coming back, almost as if he’d been seeking the Eliksni out in the tangling mass of the EDZ. he had to be, as no normal Thief in their right mind would come back to this place. but this one... this one persisted.

Khorrvis wondered why he would return. he’d gotten his treasures... so why was he here? 

when strong arms wrap around the EX-BARON’S frame, there isn’t much resistance, although there was slight confusion on his end. of course, Khorrvis growls in muted surprise --- it was a bold move, as many found it difficult to be in his presence.

‘ ... sha’irrr is bold. ‘ he comments in that growling voice, yet he makes no move to stop the man’s embrace. claws hover at the coyote’s arms.. what was he to make of this?

‘ does he not fear Khorrvis? ‘

despite their attempts, not all Thieves would trust them. that’s just the cruel truth of this world, && at times, it bittered Khorrvis deeply. it made him want to give up this attempt to help them in their time of need, to show that his kind was different than they believed. but some of these DEAD-THINGS refused to listen.it was obvious, that the three wouldn’t be sparing the other’s life, despite the unknown Captain nearly laying down his own life for them to achieve their goals. selfish. barbaric. they had turned their guns onto the smaller Eliksni without hesitation, && the former Baron could have sworn he could have heard them laughing && boasting as the bullets tore fabric && flesh with bites cold && deadly.he couldn’t have just stood by && let it happen. it was almost as if he reacted with no thought --- leaping forward with a deep roar as he snaps a rifle in twain with his bare claws, swatting another of the Thieves away with a strong primary and sending them flying a good few feet.

how could they do this? how could they slaughter those who only tried to help them, with hidden smiles, with snickering laughter? did they have no remorse?eventually he’d chased them off with their tails between their legs, wounding them gravely at best. the towering being was brought back to their reality when he felt the press of digits brushing along the plates of his mask, && he’ll turn bright blue eyes towards this nameless Captain. he was speaking, but he couldn’t seem to hear his voice clearly over the roar within his own ears.

‘ you’re wounded. ‘ Khorrvis will speak to him, using their own language. ‘ will you be alright? ‘

both sets of arms come up quickly to hover as the Thief’s arms encircle a lithe waist, wrapping about him in a way he was rather foreign to. what was happening? why did they touch him in such a way? it confused Khorrvis to no end, && he makes brief eye contact with another human civilian before they quickly make their way far away from the scene.

‘ rrrhhh ---- ? ‘ he will growl almost incredulously, the fins of his helm seeming to lay flatter, rotating in a way that nearly resembled the swept - back ears of some sort of animal.

was she attempting to subdue him? he didn’t feel pain from it, && either she was very weak, or something else was afoot here.

glancing around once more, he feels an odd sensation for the first time in centuries. bewilderment.

the force of the push was enough to make the former Baron’s vision blur, the taste of his own lifeblood fill his mouth. his head cracked painfully against the wall of concrete behind him, he had no doubts in his mind that the impact left a sizable dent where he’d collided. the claws shoving at his body only pushed harder, && Khorrvis was certain that any more pressure could leave his chest cavity caved like a rotted log beneath SKOLAS’ palm.

never had he thought he’d come face - to - face with the one that had caused his distaste towards his own kind. a coward, a traitor. believing himself to be a pariah when all he’d done is cause strife && hatred among the houses. even now, he believed to be doing the right thing --- but how wrong he was.

Khorrvis will hiss, the sound weaker than he’d intended, but after the air had been forced from his lungs from the impact, he was impressed that even that could hold. despite the horrific pain his frame suffered, he refused to look weak. not in front of them. despite the possibility of his body now broken, && the horrible pain that filled his throat, the smaller Eliksni was far from over.

‘ you’re a DISGRACE. ‘ he speaks in their native tongue, the warlike consonants like the barking of a hungry animal, scathing, dripping with venom.

‘ do our kind a favor... && perish. ‘

with a single primary arm, he’ll reach up towards his face to rip aside the filtration mask to reveal the baring fangs, && without a second of hesitation, Khorrvis spits sdirectly into this ‘ KELL’S ‘ face, closely followed by the sound of smug, albeit strained, laughter.
