There were times when the blonde regretted everything that came with them. Jasmin had never been the type to commitâ it just wasnât in her DNA. Then others, she loved everything about them. Now, she didnât know how she feltâ perhaps a mixture of the two. Her brow quirked slightly at the suggestion. The two of themâ in bed, nothing could go wrong there. Shrugging, Jasmin knew that things were different now. âYeah, Iâd like thatâŠâ she rattled off, nipping at the inside of her cheek. It was something she did out of nervousness. Rarely did the brunette have that effect on her. Her head fell back as a stifled laugh surfaced. âAnything but Harry Potter,â she joked, moving towards the head of the bedâ not letting go Blakeâs hand in the process. âOr Blue Is The Warmest Color.â Her words were a nod to the one time, theyâd been stuck in Blakeâs apartment after the first time theyâd seen one another since their inital break-up.Â
She could tell that Jasmin was torn- she had always been when it came to Blake. The want to be with her mixed with the inability to be able to stay with one person for too long. The brunette was done being angry- done being upset with Jasmin for ruining them. They were bad for each other now. Jasmin still wasnât ready to settle down, and Blake had to be okay with that, because it wasnât something she could change. âOkay, sounds good.â She grabbed her TV remote, flicking over to Netflix. Her face turned a light shade of red- blue is the warmest color- definitely not the type of movie her and Jasmin should be watching together. âIâve been wanting to watch a horror movie for ages though-â It wasnât a lie, but it most definitely was a blatant way of dismissing the movie previously mentioned. Blake looked over, her eyes meeting Jasminâs for a moment. it was nice to see the other girl happy for once. It seemed whatever happened with her in Italy was a good thing, and Blake didnât want to ruin that.
If anyone had told Spencer Wilde a year ago that this is where she would be, she wouldâve happily told them they were insane. Even two months ago, she wouldâve called their mental well being into question. But here she was - in a field with Blake Greer, surrounded by flowers and the open air. As if to further snap her back into reality, the dark haired girl spoke. Spencer felt that familiar smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she reached out and took the girlâs hand. "If we start looking now, Iâm not going to stop until Iâve dragged you halfway through the forest.â She took a  moment to enjoy the way Blakeâs fingers felt laced with hers. The feeling of guilt that had danced around the edges of her mind during their day at the pier had faded. It had been a gradual dimming - so slow that she hadnât noticed until the feeling was gone. It had always been a challenge for Spencer. She couldnât never get out of her own head - second guessing every feeling, every word, every action. The only person who had ever been able to pull her out of it was Blake. When she was with Blake, she could fall away from herself and become immersed in someone else. And somewhere, across the the world with this girl, she had stopped expecting it to all come crashing down.
Spencer felt her smile return as the words left her. As Blakeâs lips trailed along her neck, she involuntarily tilted back her head to allow the girl access. She let the moment linger before she turned toward her, brushing a strand of Blakeâs hair behind her ear as she shook her head. âIâm the lucky one here. Thank you for letting me take you out to the middle of nowhere today.â She tried her best to fight off a shy smile as her hand gently lingered on her check. âAnd. You know. For being you.â
âAlright- food first it is.â Blake agreed, nodding her head a bit. Truthfully she had been hoping thatâs what Spencer would say, because she was starving. The brunette tugged on the basket, pulling it close enough to her that she could unload their food. Blake had been trying to eat healthier lately, in an attempt to turn her toned stomach into a four pack- which wasnât going as well as she would have hoped. She was working out like crazy, and yet- nothing. Though she noticed small changes, she was completely impatient. She pulled out the fruit salad they had made together previously that day. As well as a peanut butter sandwich she had made for herself, and the sandwich Spencer had made for herself. She handed the food over to Spencer, the smile not leaving her face the entire time. Recently her happiness and being around Spencer had gone hand in hand. âYou donât have to thank me, I would follow you anywhere.â Blake admitted, shrugging a bit. She pulled out her favorite water infuser jug and two cups. âI miss the Australian sun.â She complained, gazing up at the California sky. There was something so different about being in Australia- all the fresh air and the clear blue sea. âI miss being alone with you.â Blake whined further, leaning over to place a few small kisses on Spencerâs lips. Being away from every one in town was refreshing to say the least. Just her and Spencer and all of her family. âWe should move there one day.â Blake offered nonchalantly. Recently she had been trying to drop bait, seeing how Spencer felt about them- if she saw them becoming a couple again or not. Or whether this was some sort of fling or something. She knew that wasn't Spencerâs style, but Blake had hurt her previously and she wouldnât blame the petite girl next to her if she didnât want to get back together at all.
Jasmin took a deep breath. It didnât feel right missing Blake. Not because of Lola or anyone else for that matter. Theyâd signed the divorce papers. Their saga was supposed to be over and done withâ and the feelings, she wanted nothing more than for them to dissipate. Even with the tenderness of their adjoined hands, she knew that Blake was over her. âYeah, butâŠâ she began, nipping at her cheek. She didnât know where she was going with that train of thought. She took a deep breath, catching herself by surprise as she placed a gentle kiss on the back of Blakeâs hand. âI miss everything about you. About us.â
Blake knew the both of them were struggling with the divorce- which honestly was completely normal. Even though they were young, it didnât make their marriage any less real and a divorce always fucking hurt. The brunette smiled weakly when she felt the kiss to the back of her hand. âI know, I do too.â She admitted. They were both weak, destined to repeat the same patterns over and over again. Except now things were different. Blake was pretty sure Jasmin was with Lola and Blake was soon to be with Spencer. âItâs okay.â She mumbled. âYou wanna lay here for a while?â She offered, figuring that was easier than them talking too much and ultimately making a mistake that would hurt a lot of people. âWe can watch a movie. Not Harry Potter- I promise.â She teased.
Jasmin had no idea why sheâd text Blake. Well, that wasnât entirely true. Sheâd missed the girl despite her better judgment. It was impossible to not. Getting back together was the last thing on her mind. She knew that bridge was burnedâ and they werenât going to rebuild it. âFuck,â she muttered rather loudly than she intended. Jasmin made her way into the all too familiar room. Endless hours had been spent there when things were actually good. âI just wanted to see you,â she shrugged, as though that was the most obvious thing. Naturally, she sat at the foot of her bed. âIâm not supposed to, I know. But I do.â
Blake could hear Jasmin swearing and could tell she probably already regretted coming to see her. The blonde was prone to making rash decisions she almost always regretted- sometimes Blake wondered if she was one of them. âYou donât have to do that.â She commented, looking up to meet the girlâs gaze as she sat at the edge of her bed. âApologize for wanting to see me, I mean.â She leaned over and took the girlâs hand, pulling her closer to her on the bed. âI missed you.â Unlike Jasmin, Blake was in tune with her feelings and she wasnât going to apologize for missing someone who was once the biggest part of her life.
On a scale of one to tenâ of bad ideas, this was most certainly a 20. Once Jasmin made one horrible decision, it was inevitable that another came along. The girl was impulsive and utterly reckless. Nevertheless, she stood outside of Blakeâs apartment. Taking a deep breath, she let herself in as sheâd done many times. The difference was that they werenât just exes but now divorced. Shoving her hand through her hair, she cleared her throat. âUh, Blake?â
Blake sat on her bed, staring at her phone and the text messages that stayed open on it. Why had Jasmin texted her? Was she here to yell at her? Tell her Lola and her had decided to run away and get married? Did she miss her? Did she want to get back together? Truthfully when it came to the other girl it could go either way; she never knew. Her head turned when she heard the familiar voice. âIâm in my room.â She called out, clicking her phone closed before she turned to the door expectantly. âWhatâs up?â
Her;;
Jasmin: i could come to you. my place is a mess. paints are everywhere. unless you don't care?
Blake: Yeah, sounds good to me. Door's unlocked.
Her;;
Jasmin: yeah?
Jasmin: no, everything is fine. i just want to see you. unless you don't which... would suck.
Blake: Yeah.
Blake: No, I want to. You wanna come over or I can come over or... we can meet somewhere.
Her;;
Jasmin: i want to see you
Blake: okay
Blake: are you okay? Is everything okay?

Blake lifted the large blanket up over her head, letting it fall peacefully to the ground. Smoothing out the edges before climbing on top, The brunette tugged on the large hand woven picnic basket she had bought somewhere in Australia years ago. Given that she was so infatuated with flowers and nature, it was one of the best purchases she had ever made. âDo you want to eat now and look around later, or look around now and eat after?â She asked, looking over her shoulder at the beautiful blue haired girl next to her, a small smile forming on her lips. She wasnât sure how she had gotten so lucky. Spencer stumbling into her life at the exact moment her and Jasminâs relationship combust. Spencer for whatever reason, giving her a second chance. Their time spent together in Australia had been so lovely, Blake had to force herself to come home. Introducing Spencer to her entire family, bringing her to her childhood home, and most importantly, to have dinner with her grandmother. It was something Blake had never done with anyone else. âHave I forgotten to tell you today how lucky I am to have someone in my life that makes everyday feel like a blessing?â Blake questioned, leaning over to place a few brief kisses along the girlâs shoulder and up her neck. @fearthewilde
