It’s really fun to think of which Hogwarts House your OCs are in! The Sorting Hat would’ve sensed that Dot’s a Hufflepuff from at least 25ft away.

Funny how the three girls are three different houses. Hmmm, I wonder if Boobles is Ravenclaw? I could see it.

Break Until October

I'm so sorry for my delay. Things have been going on and I've been unable to get any art done, let alone DATBC. I have not forgotten you, though.

I'm taking a break from posting pages until October, that way I can plan and get some drawing done in advance.

I'm sorry my schedule is so sporadic, but I promise it will be worth it in the end!

GUEST ART BY SARA BARDI Today I have some gorgeous art of everyone's favorite asshole vampire done by the absolutely fantastic and fabulous @tindalosmalakia (though Bloodborne fans might be more familiar with her BB blog @bellringerkat). One of the things that made me get off my butt and make a comic was seeing the incredible work she's done. Honestly, I could link to, like, 50,000 pieces of her work (including her lovely comic Lovely Lovecraft) but I think it'd be easier to just link to her PATREON! She does a lot of great work on Lovecraft, the PS4 game Bloodborne, original works, Final Fantasy 9, honestly the list goes on and on. Seriously, links to her work are all in there as well as great opportunities to get some of her work for yourself. The characters of my awesome friend @rosymaplemoth‘s epic webcomic Dot And The Boo Crew~! She really likes Bloodborne but can’t afford it right now, so as soon as I got the game I just had to do this. Hope everyone looks okay, lol!

This literally took me a day. Like.. around 24 hours of both the customizing and trying to make decent compilation images. the character creator engine in this game is just THAT frustrating! >_< One of those ones where there’s potentially a lot of flexibility but its very hard to actually achieve what you want. Easier to make zany non-humans than it is to make normal people, and kinda… unless you really wrestle with it every face seems to default to ‘giant nose, tiny eyes, uncannily flat chin’. All the sliders seem to do entirely random things unrelated to what they actually say they are, like for some reason the ‘masculine/feminine’ slider does some facial feature shuffling but also changes skintone?? Depending on your base its either ‘ladies have darker skin’ or ‘ladies are blue and boys are red’ which was at least rather appropriate for these ghosts XD And the whole thing is pointless anyway cos you can just edit the facial features manually. THO THAT IS ALSO HELLISHLY HARD WITH A ZILLION EVIL SLIDERS!! Literally at one point there’s ‘mouth tilt’ and down makes it go up. What the frickle frack?? And after all these overspecific sliders there isn’t one to change eye height or width, just to scale them both simultaneously. Gigantic-yet-stll-thin eyes just look SO WRONG… and… Well, I’ll stop babbling on this post and maybe do an actual review sometime XD I am at least happy this game has very extensive options for creating grandpas! :D :D :D :D I hope Boojangles looks as adorkable as I imagine he’d be as a human. ETERNAL FAVE

Sonia Thornhill, mother of witch-in-training Marguerite Thornhill and wife of Warlock William Thornhill.

She’s an Ambassador for the Esoteric Order of Dagon who decided to marry a worshiper of Hastur instead of shacking up with a Deep One. While this almost got her kicked out of the Order, the promise of improving the relationships between the two cults won out in the end.

When their daughter, Marguerite, was an infant, Sonia and Thornhill traveled over the sea to move into Count Elspeth’s estate in Espandora. With the Count’s wife dying in childbirth, he needed the comfort of his best friend and Sonia was all too happy to help raise little Camille alongside her Marguerite.
